Hi there.
We are family rising a hostel in Alicante.
Julián has been workayer in many hostels. After a long time like a globetrotter he took all the best things in his trips.
For that reason we decided to start this project. After several months of heavy work and more illusion, here we are.!
We hope that our experiences help to others travellers to enjoy of this magic place.
The hostel has 5 rooms and 27 beds for guests. Further common areas like swimming pool, garden, bar, kitchen, living room, etc.
We need people who are hard workers, responsible, and friendly with good communication skills and who can work in a team. You will need to be able to speak English and it would help if you could speak Spanish too.
Located 200 meters from the beach, with more than 300 days of sun per year, this is fantastic place for people from everywhere.
We have good connections with public transport and we are close to supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and other interesting places.

Somos una familia que acaba de poner en marcha un hostel en Alicante.
Julián ha sido workayer en varios hostels. Después de muchos años de trotamundos, tuvo claro lo que buscabas en sus viajes, por eso decidimos comenzar este proyecto. Tras varios meses de mucho trabajo y más ilusión, logramos nuestro objetivo.
Esperamos que nuestra experiencia ayude a otros viajeros a disfrutar de la magia de este lugar.
El hostel cuenta con 5 habitaciones y 27 camas para clientes. Además de zonas comunes como piscina, jardín, bar, cocina, salón, etc.
Situado a 200 metros de la playa, con más de 300 días de sol al año lo convierte en un lugar ideal para viajeros de todo el mundo.
Bien conectado con transporte público y muy cerca de supermercados, farmacias, bancos y principales lugares de interés.

Main tasks will be hostel cleaning and handyman tasks. Sometimes reception tasks like check-in, check-out.
Also you can share all kind of knowledge giving workshops to our customers and have good feelings with them. We need you´ll be flexible. There are days with more work to do than others, depends on the season.
HOW TO GET OUR ATTENTION: We get a LOT of requests so thought we would share our side... We generally always say no to cut and paste requests like, "I want to improve my Spanish and I like to meet new people" from people with profiles that say, "I want to improve my Spanish and I like to meet new people".... We know our sunny place close to the beach is inviting. We like just a few lines about why you would like to share our home, having read our profile, what skills you have, what you'd like to learn, not an essay. And please, have a photo of just you, not a group of people at a party...
El trabajo principal sería de limpieza y mantenimiento del hostel. En algunas ocasiones trabajos de recepción como check in, check out. Realización de talleres compartiendo los conocimientos que tengas. Relacionarse con los clientes, etc. Necesitamos que seas flexible. Hay días de más o menos trabajo, dependiendo del momento de la temporada
CÓMO LLAMAR NUESTRA ATENCIÓN: Recibimos muchas, muchísimas solicitudes por lo que os damos un consejo. Solemos decir no a los mensajes cortados y pegados del estilo "quiero mejorar mi español y me gusta conocer gente" de perfiles que dicen "quiero mejorar mi español y me gusta conocer gente"... Sabemos que nuestro hostel, en un lugar soleado y muy próximo a la playa, es tentador. Nos gustaría unas líneas en las que nos cuentes, tras haber leído nuestro perfil, por qué te gustaría compartir nuestra casa, qué habilidades tienes, qué te gustaría aprender... no un testamento. Y por favor, pon una foto en la que salgas sólo tú, no un grupo de fiesta...

We are looking for helpers who stay at least 1 month maybe more time for the high season ( June, July, August, September). With goods vibes. Will be great if you know several languages, and artist skills like handcrafts, deco and music.
This is a quiet atmosphere, therefore we want healthy and responsible people. We are easy going people, but this is a business so if you are not responsible or immature, we will invite you to go out.

This is such a wonderful place in a lovely peaceful location. I had a lovely time there and Patri and Juli are such great people! If I ever get the chance I would love to go back even as a hostel guest. The work was more than reasonable and I managed to do some artwork during my time there.

If you need help with computer, social media, website, etc. Vera is the perfect helper. She has a lot of informatic skills and always she is focus to improve.

Paul was with us almost two weeks. The hostel was in low season, so we took advantage for do some improvement. He always was willing to do handyman jobs. He is good for this kind of tasks. We miss have conversation with him. He is very independent and we respect him, but no social skills for help in a hostel. Good luck

Zoe is a smiling person, full of positive energy, always ready for helping, no matters what kind of work, either cleaning as dealing with guests. When Julian was a guest in our hostel we already met a friendly and open person who we corfimed while he helped us as a workayer. He has very social skills, he knows how to work in a team and at the same time he hangs out with guests and does activities outdoors. He is willing to work and learn. Good luck in your next workaway!
