Descripción
We are a registered non-profit working to benefit the cause of education for the past 38 years, and we diligently work towards upholding the diverse sustainable developed goals of the United Nations. Our project is established near Rishikesh town, also known as The world capital of Yoga.
About project: The project entails teaching effective English communication skills to underprivileged rural children from nearby villages, aged 6-19 years old. The objective is not only to make them good at language but also to make them think out of the box. The education system in India is based on memorization of the facts (rote learning) and appearing for exams that evaluate crammed information and not critical thinking or application of concepts/knowledge. We believe that education entails fostering 21st-century skills, particularly overall personality development, inclusive of academic performance.
About the host: I pursued an International MBA from IE Business School, Madrid (in 2017-18), wherein I read courses that inspired me to make a deeper social impact at the bottom of my pyramid in my country. I have been working at this school as Director for over half a decade. Although the institution has stood the test of time rendering grassroots service tirelessly for 38 years, I am now committed to challenging the status quo and implementing best practices to be able to deliver contemporary education of the highest quality to the much needed section of the society.

As a volunteer, you would be required to -
1. Help/assist our social project coordinator Mr. Naveen Godiyal in teaching Spoken English to various age groups.
2. Provide help to various extracurricular activities undertaken at our school premises.
3. Help us in managing the social media i.e. social project Facebook page, Instagram handle.
4. Help in strategizing the blueprint for a wider outreach among international volunteers, travelers, and gap year
students.
5. The key word here is multitasking. Although being assigned for a particular task, you won't be engaged in other
works till the completion of the assigned one.

Alojamiento
The school has facilities for faculty to stay and a dining room for on-campus residents. Meals served are mostly Indian vegetarian but can be looked into. The school is located in a beautiful area adjacent to the Rajaji National Park overlooking the Shivalik Mountains with a stream flowing alongside. The sacred Ganges flow within a walking distance of 15-20 minutes. It is an ideal location for anybody looking to practice Yoga, Meditation, and Spirituality.

The location is about 10 kilometers off Rishikesh. It is on the Haridwar RIshikesh highway. Both cities are tourist destinations and amongst the holiest places for Hindus. There is river rafting, hiking, jungle safari and a lot more to do in this region. The Airport and Railway station are nearby and easily accessible for all commuters. We have hosted volunteers from the UK in the past and have had a very pleasant and long-lasting experience with them. Personally, I have recently finished my MBA from IE Business School, Madrid, so I am extremely familiar about how one has to deal with volunteers from diverse nationalities.
