I was staying at Siris place while she and her family were on holidays. So I was actually house and pet sitting. The house and the property is beautiful and the dogs are just lovely. I also looked after some kitten, a goat and chickens. Sometimes I was also helping with feeding the horses.

… read more was always easy and she made me feel very welcome. Her daughter is also very lovely and even though I couldn't spend much time with them I enjoyed the time we had.
I would totally recommend staying with Siri.

This was my first workaway experience and Siri is simply the best! The property is absolutely gorgeous and so are all the horses, dogs and people there. I was lucky enough to actually end up getting a job and working there for 2 months and I loved it. As far as duties for workawayers it's really simple and the work is not too hard, simple farm
… read more work, weeding, some help with cleaning paddocks, getting horses ready (if you are comfortable handling them). There's always something to do so you won't get bored but you'll have enough time to go and explore beautiful Perth and surrounding beaches as well. Or just chill by the pool and watch kangaroos :) If you are in the area, like dogs, kids (Siri's daughter is an adorable little equestrian princess) and horses, I hope Siri has room for you because you'll have a great time.

I stayed one more week than I planned. It is soo interesting watching Siri training the horses and her kind and calm way around horses and people creates such a lovely environment. Even though it was a busy time she was always incredibly patient. Thank you for the experience. I would totally recommend it to all the horse freaks out there!

I would highly recommend this workaway experience! I have felt very welcomed and greatly enjoyed family meals and outings. The work is fair, the barn is orderly and all the animals receive excellent care. The location is amazing! It's quite close to Baldivis, easy to visit the beach or take the train to Perth. Siri is just amazing! It felt like home straight away. The dogs are a little bit crazy but love to cuddle with you on the couch in the evening. It was so interesting to see her training the horses and experience the Australian life. Her Daughter is the cutest baby ever :)
