Descripción
Hi dear volunteers, I m Bibi from Gostivar, city in the west part of Macedonia, near the biggest national park and ski centеr Mavrovo. Gostivar is surrounded by the most beautiful mountains, Shar mountain and Suva Gora mountain, and if you are mountain and nature lover, here is the perfect place to be.
We live in a big house near the center of Gostivar (3 minutes walking) , by the biggest river in the country, Vardar. Since my father died, it’s 3 of us, me, my mother and my older brother.
We own a Family restaurant for 40 years now, it is based in our House, established in 1980! The restaurant is very beautiful decorated in etno rustical style, serving a traditional Macedonian food. We offer national specialities prepared with organic products. On the last floor of our house we have a hostel for max 20 people, but during covid19 we are not working.
In your free time you can enjoy the endless beauties of Gostivar and the surrounding area. We have a lot of mountains, rocks, and the most beautiful canyon by the river Radika, so you can go for adventure sports like climbing, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and many more!
Also if you like skiing or boarding now it comes a winter seasson so you have the biggest ski center Zare Lazareski in Mavrovo, there is a bus transport every day, every hour to the Ski Center and back.
Gostivar is on the half road from Skopje to Ohrid, so you can take a bus transport and go to see the endless beauties of Ohrid and Struga as well. The bus tickets coast about 10 euros for both ways Gostivar-Ohrid-Gostivar, and about 6 euros Gostivar-Skopje-Gostivar, where you can enjoy the capital of Macedonia- Skopje, and surrounding area, like canyon Matka, Vodno mountain, the old bazaar in Skopje and many more!

We are multiethnic city and you'll get to meet people from many nationalities ... all with their stories to tell.
If you choose the stay with me in Gostivar, you will have the chance to interact with local people from the community, learn about Macedonian culture, habits and food. Furthermore, I am an awesome tour guide, so I will be happy to show you the surroundings as well as our capital – Skopje.
In terms of skills – you will get the chance to learn about working with wood, building, gardening, preparing and cooking traditional Macedonian food and many more. Furthermore, you can practice sports you enjoy or haven’t tried before.

Alojamiento
We offer you a bedroom in our very comfortable house. We will share the living room, kitchen and bathroom.
We eat meat, but also we are interested to learn and cook a vegetarian food. Around the house we have a lot of supermarkets, vegetable shops, bus station, coffee bars, restaurants etc.
