  We are a busy, active family living on 10 beautiful acres in a peaceful rural setting. Our home is surrounded by BIG views, with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, and we share it with our horses and 5 dogs—so animal lovers are a must! LARGE Dog experience is a must too!
  
  We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on individual (or couple) who enjoys a mix of outdoor and indoor projects. Help on the property includes firewood prep, snow management, general maintenance, caring for our animals and burning brush and dead trees. If you enjoy being outside and working with your hands, you’ll fit right in.
  
  We do have a boiler system for heat and hot water in the colder months. We require someone to be able to clean and maintain the system. FUN right?! Check out Central Boiler online to see what this is about.
  Someone who can trouble shoot and enjoy rural challenges is an asset.
  
  We’re also in the middle of a kitchen renovation along with other DIY construction/building/fixing house and farm projects, so if you have experience with cabinetry or finishing work, that would be a huge bonus. That said, we’re happy to tailor tasks to your specific skills—whether that’s carpentry, landscaping, or general labour.
  
  Colin (husband) works out of town for two weeks at a time, then home for 2 weeks and our two adult daughters also live on the property, so there’s always someone around. We value people who are independent, reliable, and enjoy being part of a family environment while still having their own space.
  
  In exchange, you’ll get the opportunity to live in a stunning rural location, spend time with animals, and be part of a down-to-earth home.

  We are a very diverse family. From current affairs, politics, sports, hunting, nature, business, veterinary, skin care, travel, cooking, healthy lifestyle, living rural (no public transport). We live in wine country, surrounded by lakes, mountains and have access to the back country.

  We are a family of 5 adults living on the property. Mom, Dad, 2 daughters (26 & 29) and a roommate of Savana (29) who live in the carriage house. We are all very busy, a little help with the daily chores of living rural would be great. Some house cleaning, yard maintenance, horse feeding, dog walking. Wood splitting, building/fixing stuff around the property.
  Pretty chill.
  Being confident around dogs is important as we have 2 large dogs who need a second to be comfortable around new people. They are all super friendly once acclimatized. One needs walking separately daily. Other chores would be stacking wood, maintaining the boiler, shovelling snow, yard clean up. Any skill you bring will be utilized! We have a skid steer for plowing and a LARGE excavator and an abundance of other vehicles/equipment that can be maintained &/or utilized.

  2 Private bedrooms with King beds and shared bathroom (just for work aways). Self serve breakfast and lunch. We usually eat the evening meal together. We have a diverse diet - very healthy - love creative cooking and everything made from scratch. Don't mind accommodating different eating philosophies. Our home is not great for vegans & some vegetarians as there is meat eaten every day and we are a hunting family.

  We live in a rural area with no public transportation. There are 5 adults on the property so someone is always coming from or going to town. If you have your own vehicle in winter months 4x4 is an asset as we live up a mountains and have a steep driveway. The bus is a 10 min drive away from the house. Kelowna is a beautiful town and there is anything from skiing to hiking in all directions. The city is 200000 people.

  Mixed breed, can be reactive with dogs and some people. LOVES her people once she is comfortable. FUN and very energetic. Obsessed with frisbee. She is a natural athlete.
