We are a 10 acre off-grid land project in Mountain View, Hawaii. Our organic homestead is looking for creative and enthusiastic individuals to contribute to the growth of our community and farm. The property is entirely off-grid running on solar and water catchment.

We love to learn and create and focus our energy on making the world a better place.

The homestead has around 200 fruits trees in our food forest (around 40 varieties). Most are immature and have not produced fruit yet. our focus recently has been on cacao. We have been growing cacao seedlings in our nursery alongside a variety of veggies, tree starts, microgreens and some ornamentals. There are several large banana patches that have been very productive as well as papaya and lilikoi (passion fruit) to name a few. We also love to forage for fruit all over the island!

At the moment the farm has ducks and ducklings, kittens, chickens, sheep, cows and an aquaponics pond full of tilapia and koi fish. The animals on the farm bring a lot of joy and entertainment!

Some of our interests include: Permaculture, homesteading, organic farming, composting, animal husbandry, painting, crafting, carpentry, yoga, aquaponics, hiking, fishing, camping, spear fishing, snorkeling, surfing, learning about other cultures and drinking smoothies :)

We are always looking for opportunities to volunteer in the community or do beach clean up.

We are not a business and do not sell anything produced on the farm. Much of our fruit and produce will be available to be consumed.

We prioritize learning in every facet of our lives.

This is a great opportunity to experience off-grid, communal living and homesteading culture. As well as the culture of living aloha :)

We try to spend a few days a week working on improving the property which ends up being about ten hours a week. This entails ground maintenance, permaculture practice, construction, invasive species removal, helping in our nursery and caring for the animals.

We can provide a rigid or fluid schedule depending upon your personal preference. You should be aware that some projects are dependent upon the weather and our work schedule is always subject to change. For us this works well because we can always go to the beach :)

Those who have experience with the following will get priority: carpentry, yoga instruction, permaculture design, aquaponics, agroforestry, landscaping, botany or general farm/ag experience.

  • Alojamiento

The property has a tiny house a communal living space with a well equipped kitchen and hot shower. We also have a composting toilet, off-grid hot tub and we are currently in the process of constructing additional living spaces.

Generally there are bananas, papayas, and eggs available for your consumption. And there is a potential that you could get all of your food from the farm with some planning and preparation.

We are not vegan or vegetarian, but we are vegan/vegetarian friendly.

We do not have WIFI, however there is good cell phone internet though AT&T, Verizon works but not well. Some other providers do work well.

We are 10 minutes to the nearest convenience store, 20 minutes to the nearest to the nearest town and 30 minutes from Hilo which is the largest city on the Big Island and has everything you would need.

In the area there are plenty of beaches, hiking, surfing, waterfalls, snorkeling, swimming, camping and whatever you could imagine.

We are also only 15 minutes away from Volcano National Park which has stunning hiking and great camping.

Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have!
