We are looking for Workawayers all year and we prefer people who are willing to stay for a longer period of time, but at least for four weeks. Helping at our hostel you will experience what it takes to run a small hospitality business, and we hope that staying with us will help you to develop your personal and even professional skills.
Our hostel is located in the center of Himara, just a five-minute walk from the main beach. Himara is mostly a beach destination, but as it is surrounded by amazing nature the hostel stays open all year round. Milto restored his family stone house and has been running the hostel since 2012.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

There is a big garden area around the hostel full of grapevines and orange trees. We also organise hiking & bike tours to nearby village and grow our own vegetables in our small garden. Milto's Mum and Dad, both of whom speak very little English, also reside on the premises – so get ready for cultural exchange and new communication opportunities! Other members of the family include our super friendly dogs Bataria & Choco, and some cats.

We are a two-headed local staff. One of them is the woman taking care of the house to be clean and nicely prepared for the guests. The other is me - the owner of the place and at the same time manager of the hostel. I do everything which is required to run a hostel. This includes for example managing the bookings and check- ins, to ensure that guests are happy, fixing and repairing, and in general to keep the house a welcoming place. I am your first contact person when volunteering at the hostel.
Mainly we ask you to help at the reception (check-ins, recommendations, rentals) and the house-keeping (tidying up the common areas, feed the dogs and cats). We are looking for self-motivated individuals because we find it important that you help out and do things on your own initiative.
If you're up to it, you can also organize movie nights, board game evenings or hiking tours into the mountains. Our goal is to provide everyone with the best possible experience :) We also have a big garden where you can let your creativity speak (street art on the fences for examples).
Minimum stay, preferably, four weeks or longer. We expect you to help us some 25 hours per week and you will have at least two days off, depending on how many guests and volunteers there are. Some days are simply busier than others :) In return we are offering accommodation in a staff-only tents June, July,August, September, at the hostel, supplies for lunch or dinner.Idiomas hablados

Even on those days where you are working you can still make the most of the day! Depending on which kind of atmosphere you prefer, you have got at least five beaches you can hike or bike to within a couple of minutes. Also, there are several cultural sights (castles, old towns, churches) around Himara that you can easily hitchhike or even walk to.
For your days off we recommend you to explore some secret beaches that require more effort to get to (Gjipe), to try hiking or biking into the hinterland of Himara (Kurvelesh) or to get on a roadtrip to Gjirokaster, Butrint or even to the ancient city of Corfu.Un poco más de información

The hostel is very beautiful, amazing garden, plenty of oranges threes, perfect to enjoy the day under the shade. Himara is probably the best small city in Albania, and for sure the one with the most beautiful beaches at all.
