  We are a community hub in Poolburn doing a variety of not-for-profit projects with a focus on self-sufficiency, health and fitness. One of the projects is improving gardens and setting up new vegetable gardens. We also have fast unlimited fibre internet and a fully equipped gym where you'll be able to partake in community fitness sessions. We are looking for hardworking Workawayers who are enthusiastic about health, nutrition and fitness. We love meeting travellers and being a positive influence those who are interested in learning about a rural self-sufficient way of life.

  Travellers will learn about self-sufficiency, animal husbandry, gardening, and the real New Zealand rural experience.

  One of our residents is currently away for a few months so we need a hand weeding and gardening. In exchange for a room and locally grown/caught meat and veggies we would ask for help tidying up weeding and gardening.

  Ensuite room with one queen bed, with access to unlimited fibre internet, and a fully equipped gym. You will be catered for however as we a reliant on our own food we would be unable to feed vegetarians. We have our own meat, milk, eggs, honey and some veggies and have a focus on nutrition and health.

  There are numerous tourist sites within a short drive of Poolburn. Numerous films such as Lord of the Rings were filmed here.
