Kia ora! We’re a fun-loving family of five with three energetic boys, all aged 7 and under.
We’ve recently settled into beautiful Papamoa after a few years living off the grid on a small island and a couple of winters escaping to Bali. Our home is just a 2-minute drive (or a 10-minute walk) from the beach, and we spend as much time as we can surfing, fishing, boating, and getting out on family adventures. The boys spend their summers in the pool, down at the beach, or cruising around on their bikes/skateboards! They're also into playing card / boardgames and lego.
On weekends, when the weather plays ball, we are generally up for boat or beach missions. Plus if you’re into surfing—Jess is always keen for a surf buddy before work!
What We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone who genuinely loves being around kids and is happy to blend into family life—more like a big sister/Aunt vibes than just a helper. The role involves a mix of:
• Hanging out with the kids and helping with their routines / tidying
• General household tasks (cooking, cleaning, tidying, gardening, etc.)
We appreciate someone who can take initiative, go with the flow, and doesn’t need a checklist to feel at home. If you’re relaxed, outdoorsy, and keen to join a laid-back, adventurous Kiwi family, we’d love to have you!
We travel a bit, so often last-minute Workaways suit us best and generally stays of 1–3 weeks work well.

It’s a fun and mellow way of life here in Papamoa. Beach is close by and nature walks a short drive away. We are a pretty slow paced family and enjoy a laidback lifestyle.

Taking the boys out to the beach, bike riding, skate park or watching them in our pool, playing games at home etc. Making simple morning tea/lunch for them. General help around the house with family life, tidying up / cleaning and help with dinners.

We live in a 4 bedroom home one of which will be yours with a queen bed, wardrobe and dresser. The bathroom will be shared. We have a pool and spa and are 2mins drive from the beach. We will have dinners mostly together which sometimes you may help out with.

We live in an awesome spot close to the beach: surfing, biking and skating are very popular here. Busses are close by and where we can we can help with transport:
