  My name is Ruben. I'm a biology teacher in a highschool near Ponferrada, were I live with my to kids: Laura (11 yo) and Rubén (6 yo). I'm 55. I'm divorced since 2018, so the kids spend one week with me and one week with their mother. The relationship is good enough, so maybe you'll meet her too.
  
  My favourite things are: science & nature, music, cinema, books, travel...
  
  I work from 9 am. to 15. Most of the days I'm free during the afternoons, but it depends of the week.

  Our city, Ponferrada, is located in the Way of St James (NW Spain). We could show you the city & region (medieval castle, roman mining, museums, nature...) or we could travel to many places nearby (León, Astorga, Lugo, Ourense, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña...)

  Ayuda

  I have two kids, 11 & 6 y.o. and I'd like them to practice different languages and discover different cultures. I can speak spanish & galician (mother tongues), english, portuguese and some italian. Any other language would be wellcomed, but be sure we can use some of the previously mentioned to star and solve problems when needed. The basic help would be taking care of the kids: pick them up from school, go to the park, homework, playtime...

  Alojamiento

  The apartment is a duplex, ten minutes walk from the town hall and the old area of Ponferrada. We have for Workawayers a single room (my son's room, but only for your personal use). You would have a wardrobe, a work table and a chair. It is attic, but comfortable, with a large window to enjoy the Spanish sky. Because of the different timetables in Spain, It's possible you would need to help yourself for some of the daily meals, specially lunch, but we'd trie to share breackfast, dinner, or both.

  Ponferrada's population = 65.000. There's a bus stop near the flat (2 minutes), but you can go walking to the main parts of the city (no more than 20-30'). Sometimes I could take you anywhere by car if needed.
