We live in a quiet secluded renovated farm . We breed Husumer pigs, Walliser Schwartznaze sheep and Welsumer chickens Also a breeder of Great swiss mountaindogs and miniature Mediterranean donkeys.
For the winterperiode we are looking for people to help with small repairs and improvrments on the farm and helping out with the animals.

The North of the Netherlands is a very attractive area with lots to see and do locally. If you are keen on walking or cycling, there are a number of good and challenging routes around. The farm is situated alongside a canal which offers fishing and boattrip.s The local towns are bursting with history and ripe for exploration. The university town of Groningen with a vibrant ambience, contemporary fashions, range of affordable bars and restaurants, a growing international performance-art festival and the best nightlife in the region.

Neil and Leilanie stayed with us for some weeks during the most dreary weather. Allways optimistic and helpfull. They are certainly fit, willing to get stuck in and quick learners with an appetite for a challenge! we very much appreciated their work and compant and can only hope they will return some day with better weather to enjoy farm stay.

Eline was a great host, and very good cook!
We were kept busy with building projects and learned some new skills along the way. There wasn't as much working with the animals as we hoped, but I guess this varies seasonally.
We enjoyed exploring the area, particularly Groningen which is a really cool town.

The animals are all beautiful and the three big dogs loved attention.
The farm is in a lovely area and we were allowed to use the small motorboat for trips on the canal.

Such a great and responsible workawayer! We really loved hosting Timor. Skilled at many trades and always wiling to help. Small repairs are fixed even before asking him! Timor is very strong and not afraid of hard work. He helped us a lot and we highly recommend him to other hosts!

Eline is a very relax person and host; I share a good and relax time in her farm house. There is a lot work to do but she respect you’re work and rest hours. She pick up you and respect the meals if you are vegetarian or vegan ; I stay with her only for a week but I wanted to spend time in nature and In a quiet place and I really have it.

We very much enjoyed having Marc around, Very cheerful and interested in cultural differences. Although it was cold in the winter, Marc helped out clearing the gardens, planting bushes and putting up fences. He took initiative and needed little guidance. Florencia helped us out enormous for getting our house clean for rental. From the minute she walked in she helped wherever she could and it was really nice to iive with her for a while. I had an awesome 6 weeks with Eline, her family and with her animals. She tried to find the tasks which were fits for me. The food was delicious every time. I'm also really enjoyed the bike and kayak trips in the neighbourhood at the afternoons and weekends. Hope i will see you an other time in my life my friends!
