A (mostly) retired American professional couple, nonsmokers, living with cats, ducks, and chickens in a large, spacious home in the countryside of central Portugal. Have lived throughout Europe for nearly 30 years and are very well-travelled. Not really into sports, although there is plenty of that activity in the area. Lots of information to share, if workawayer is interested. Smokers and heavy drinkers not favored. Positive people who love animals are.

Wife was, among other things, a professor of English as a second language in Japan and France and is a master baker. Husband is a practicing attorney who promotes health-freedom rights around the World. Would be happy to help educate on these and other subjects. Have an extensive library of about 1000 books.

This is a large house with nearly an acre of land. Vineyards, large poultry pen with ducks and chickens, a sad vegetable garden that needs work. other gardens, yard, trees, nice swimming pool, and cats. Helping with care of all would be important.

A one-bedroom furnished apartment on ground level attached to house/garage. Has small-to-medium sized kitchen with bathroom and living room. Clean.

A short walk to the largest lake in Portugal, 20 minutes' drive to the nearest (historic) city of 20,000 people, train & bus service to Lisbon. Ideal for those who love to be in the countryside, but if you want to be in a big city, look elsewhere.
