VOLUNTEER YOGA TEACHER — KAMPOT, CAMBODIA
We're looking for a dedicated teacher to lead one 70–90 minute yoga class per day (length is up to you), plus short meditation sessions and workshops a few times a week. You'll teach guests of all levels and be part of the day-to-day life of a small, close-knit retreat.
We are the only retreat in Cambodia owned by a Khmer family who lives on the premises. Guests get to experience cultural immersion and experience the famous friendliness and hospitality of the Cambodian people. As soon as they arrive, guests are made to feel at home. It is a family atmosphere, with the staff and guests eating and hanging out together.
In exchange, you'll receive a luxury private room, three meals a day, and full access to all retreat classes and activities.
The retreat is proudly Khmer-owned, and the family live on-site. This is a genuine opportunity for cultural and language exchange — learn Khmer, share your own background, and get a window into Cambodian life that most travelers never experience.
This is a family-run yoga retreat in Kampot, Cambodia, offering daily yoga, meditation, workshops, and home-cooked food in a warm community setting. Having opened just over a year ago, we've already built a solid reputation with 100% 5 star reviews and a loyal following of guests who often extend their stays or return for a second visit. We're a small but growing operation with real momentum behind us.
Our rooftop shala — shaded and open to the surrounding nature — looks out over Bokor Mountain and the Cambodian countryside. Morning sessions catch the gentle early sun before the heat sets in; evening classes unfold as the sky turns amber and pink at sunset. It's a genuinely special place to practice and teach. Guests dine together three times a day around the family table, sharing food prepared fresh each morning by our chef-owner Sina using ingredients from the local market. Many guests tell us it's the best food they've eaten in Cambodia.
We run a structured but unhurried program seven days a week, covering Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga alongside daily meditations and rotating workshops on topics like pranayama, yoga philosophy, and Khmer culture. Every afternoon is free time, giving guests space to explore the local area, relax by a nearby pool, or simply unwind.

Since the owner is Khmer, you will be able to learn something about the culture. I have previous experience setting up and marketing retreats, so I can help you to learn about that if you are interesting (building a website and so on). There will be a lot of opportunities to connect with local people and even practice the language if you like.

Ayuda
We are looking for a Yoga teacher who is passionate about the practice and its ability to heal and empower people. Ideally it would be somebody who has some experience with working in and promoting retreats, but this is something we can teach you about. We are looking for somebody with a lot of creative ideas who can help us build on what we have already created over our first season.
We want somebody who is a good communicator and can welcome the guests and help them to communicate with the Khmer staff when needed.

Alojamiento
The volunteer will be given one of our luxury private rooms. Currently we are in the low season, so it is most likely we will not be fully booked, but if we do get a lot of bookings, we may ask you to spend some nights in the dorm.

Algo más...
If you can drive a moto, it will make your life easier, especially if you want to go to the downtown area where all the restaurants and cafes are. But it is easy to find a TukTuk if needed. There are plenty of things to visit in the local area: waterfalls, caves, the national park. The downtown area is fairly popular with backpackers and there are often music events. There is also an ex-pat community from all over the world.

The WiFi is generally good but it can be temperamental so it is recommended to get a local SIM so you can make a hotspot if needed. Data is very cheap and it is fast enough for most types of remote working.
