The East Sussex Campsite involves living in a beautiful 600 acre woodland in the 2022 UK Campsite of the Year. Located in a beautiful part of East Sussex, a few miles from the historic town of battle.
The Wood Campsite is our smaller second campsite, is located in West Sussex, near the the town of Haywards Heath and the Village of Horsted Keynes.
Below is how we describe our warden jobs. The position requires an amount of cleaning and customer service.
Are you interested in living an alternative lifestyle? We are currently on the look out for a couple to assist the Campsite Manager (who started working for us through Workaway in 2020) and work as Campsite Wardens for the 2024 season.
Please note these are all paid positions and all applicants need to be able to LEGALLY WORK IN THE UK. We pay at least National Minimum Wage.
Our East Sussex Campsite is set on a beautiful private 600 acre woodland. We have thirty camping pitches, including eight bell tents. We operate low noise, family-oriented campsites and no cars are allowed on site. We offer the closest thing to wild camping, with the added luxury of basic facilities. There is mains drinking water and running hot water, but no electricity. And, of course, lots of trees. The campsite is completely off grid and your accommodation would be in a bell tent on the campsite.
Our glamping only site in West Sussex. This campsite has nine bell tents in a semi ancient five acre woodland. A more intimate site with the trains of the bluebell railway running past. The campsite is often booked out for exclusive use with nine families.
It would be preferential to have a car as we are based in a remote location.

Both of our campsites are set in beautiful Sussex woodlands. The locations are rural with beautiful villages nearby. Sussex has an abundance of things to see and do as well as lovely country pubs to visit. We're not far from the coast so you can be at the beach within around 30-40 minutes.
