Hans and I are a Dutch/English couple with 2 dogs living in Calonge on the Costa Brava in Spain. We run a large rental villa about 5km from the beach This has been going well for nearly 10 years now. We work here out of the tourist season with projects in the garden or maintaining the villa. If XL Villa Calonge is empty of guests there is plenty of room to host workaway visitors there and if the villa is full, we have a small independent apartment next to our house. Both very comfortable independent accommodation. We need some help mainly working outside in the garden of either our rental villa or our own house which we built ourselves.
Hans and I are quiet people but we like having new faces to chat to. There is a good internet connection in both locations if you are working. Bikes are also available. The coast is 5km away.
We like to work with a 2 day work and 2 day free rota. Cooking is not my strong point so any help with this is welcome. We find a maximum stay of about 3 weeks is good for everyone. This is a great location for travellers needing a rest.
We have plenty of comfortable bedrooms for guests and helpers and like sharing our lovely corner of the earth.

Hans and I speak Dutch and English fluently and are happy to chat to anyone wanting to practise/learn those languages. Hans has multi skills in building and is very good at explaining how things work. Calonge is a lovely area with soooo many places to enjoy the nature and walk, run, or cycle for those who want a break and explore.
Ayuda
An extra hand is always welcome. No building skills necessary. Hans is good a giving instructions and someone to help lift that object or pass that screwdriver saves a lot of energy. I (Jackie) am also always grateful if someone enjoys putting a meal on the table or has time to help Hans. We have plenty of bedrooms with private bathrooms and a working swimming pool available for use.

Alojamiento
The rental villa if we don't have paying guests or the apartment if we do. Both are very comfortable places with private bathrooms and kitchen.

There is plenty to do on the Costa Brava. This is a holiday destination and a beautiful part of the world. We would recommend having a car or bike. There is so much to do it is difficult to describe it all. Email me and let me know your interests.....

We have a good wifi connection and a nice environment to work from.
