Small Alpaca farm (20 alpacas, 2 llama's, 2 miniature horses, 2 large horses,2 goats chickens) located in Alstonville NSW. Farm also has chickens . Single male living in large house with 1 other lady sharing on the property.

Travellers can learn about Australian lifestyle on a rural property including sustainability measures and animal care.
They get to experience clear evening skies and the southern stars.
We have helped travellers with their English and knowledge of Australian customs.
Workawayers are welcomed into my family and generally get to meet my other family members who live nearby plus a range of friends and students.
There is plenty of spare time to visit the local area including beaches in Ballina and Byron Bay, and the Lismore Koala Hospital.

Help would be mainly assisting with Animal care; Cleaning the house or other buildings; Garden and Paddock maintenance; and Cooking. Could also include building maintenance and fencing depending on skills.

My time spent at Roland's farm was amazing! The jobs are never too difficult, I had a lot of fun feeding the alpacas and horses and even vacuuming poo was an amusing experience. It was a pleasure to have these 2 girls stay with me, They were a great help with a variety of household and garden chores. I also had a sick alpaca which had been bitten by a tick. The girls were very attentive and helped to nurse this alpaca back to health.
