Hi guys! This is Niloofar. I live in suberbs of Milan with my partner, Alessandro. In this moment he is away doing a workaway in Papua New Guinea.
I am a cook, but in this moment I am out of my previous job and searching for a new one. I am spending time on learning how to do pastries and bread at home. I am vegan, and also my cuisine is Iranian-Italian Vegan.
What I can offer the dear workawayer is knowledge about cooking and about plants, a private room to sleep and food. I am graduated as an engineer, so I can teach you also around the technical matters inside the house. If you like to learn doing some woodworking there are good chances you can practice here.
What I would ask from the workawayer, is help in the housekeeping and taking care of the garden. I am busy all day doing cooking experiments, so I won't be able to show you around during the day.
We also live with our cat, Shidak.
I exclusively accept female workawayers, as it is easier for me to manage theinterpersonal dynamics with a woman in my own house.
Please write to me if you are interested in cooking, housework (also technical), nature, animal rights, eating (plant based). It's super appreciated if know about baking or cooking or pastry making,
We live outside of Milan, in a calm place in the middle of a field. We are half an hour of distance from the city.
I would host you initially for a week, and we will see how it goes together.

We speak Italian, Persian and English. If you are interested we can help you with learning any of these languages. We gladly offer our knowledge and experience about two cultures we come from: Iran and Italy. From your stay here you can expect to learn a lot about the local ecosystem and ways to regenerate it, and more broadly about nature.

From our guests we expect two kinds of help: first some help in the house, nothing extraordinary, just some cleaning and maintenance of the space: we live in a big house full of objects, books and tools, and sometimes it can get messy just the two of us. In addition to this we'd like to involve our guests in the activities that are suitable for the season/month. It can be anything from the list above; when you'll write to us we'll decide together what kind of activities we will do, depending on the period of the year, the need of our place and your preferences.
We really look forward to share our experiences and to learn from our guests.

One big room with a double bed, plenty of cabinet space and the use of a private bathroom. The house is quite cold in the winter, but you'll be provided with all the blankets you'd need. We still advice to take warm house attire for the winter.

Our house is situated at a 15 minutes ride from the city of Milan, with its wealth of tourist attractions. Furthermore we are 40 minutes of walk/ 15 minutes of bus away from Melegnano, a lovely town with all the charm and services of a small Italian town, and if you like walking in the fields and chill near a solitary and unknown river you are definitely in the right place.

I will never forget those days I spent with them. I felt at peace with their presence in the authentic, beautiful ancient house, as if I were in the home of friends I had known for years.
