We're the top glamping site in El Nido and the Philippines. We've work exchanged during a 16 month trip and have an idea of what to look for in workawayers. We have a high standard for hosting our guests and are looking to expand our own staff's intercultural understanding through interaction with work exchangers.
We’ve thought about changing the travel industry in El Nido, Palawan and the Philippines. We initially thought that would be through the introduction of “glamping.” Since then we’ve pondered whether or not that would simply be another fad in tourism and have come to the conclusion that it is. We’ve pivoted on some of our ideas of how we want to structure our hotel and introduced the idea of permaculture after discussions with different business owners in El Nido. The need for environmental sustainability is very much needed to prevent a lot of damage from happening as seen in many tourist hotspots in the Philippines.

As long-term travellers ourselves we can give great advice on how to continue the journey. We can give a great soft landing into the Filipino culture, help with language barriers, and provide an environment where they will be immersed with other Filipinos.

It’s been a great ride over the past year. We just hit our 1 year anniversary, added a couple more nests and put up a restaurant in the middle of the property.
These days we’re running the hotel, restaurant, a yoga studio, and El Nido's only tourism magazine.
With the turnover of hospitality, we’ve decided to give a crack at Work Away as a way to have increased intercultural communication amongst our local staff and international volunteers.

Work exchanges will be given accommodation in one of the bunk beds likely shared with one of our staff. It’s a basic room with a wall fan and a place to sleep not do much more than that. There are tons of common space for the volunteers to relax but note that our biggest priority is our guests be mindful of them before you put up your feet and take up space :)
We are situated at the Las Cabanas/Maremegmeg Beach perfect for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. We can help arrange tours and volunteers can rent motorbikes to explore other parts of the El Nido off-the-beaten-path.
