  My name is Elise and I'm 65 years old - I live in Pacific Harbour, Fiji and have a large family house with a big yard, 6 dogs, 3 cats and spend a lot of time with horses (mine and others) at a horse sanctuary nearby that a friend established a few years ago. My house is across the road from the main beach. I have two adult daughters, a grand-daughter and a grand-son. My older daughter, her husband and their children are currently living with me and my younger daughter lives in the US.
  My preference is to host helpers who are comfortable with horses, including grooming, walking and riding them. Tasks for helpers include cleaning the yard, house maintenance and walking the dogs.

  You will be able to learn about Pacific/Fiji cultures and history (I have taught Pacific Studies and am an adjunct Associate Professor at the University of the South Pacific) and interact with local friends.

  I'm looking for helpers who want to work with and have fun with horses and who can help with maintenance of the house (carpentry, painting, general maintenance etc) or be good with gardening/yard tasks.

  You will stay in my house where there is a mezzanine with a double bed and a shared bathroom/shower downstairs. You will be provided with three meals a day.

  Suva, the capital is an hour away by bus. There is good public transport and a few fun things like diving, river tubing and going to waterfalls in our area. We are easy to get to.
  I work from home a lot of the time and like to live a generally quiet life.
