  Hello! We are Marco, Elisa, Teresa (9 years old) and Arturo (3 years old). We live in Nardò, a lovely town in Puglia, in the south of Italy, not far from the sea.
  We live in the town centre in a beautiful house with a garden. We also share our home with our dog and our two cats, so it is important that our au pair feels comfortable around animals and does not suffer from cat allergies.
  Marco is a graphic designer. He often works from home, although on some days he can be away for the whole day because of work. He is also a musician and plays the trumpet in an orchestra, so music is an important part of our family life and is often present in our home. Elisa is a veterinarian and works part-time. She works every morning and two afternoons a week. In her free time, she loves reading and writing.
  We both really enjoy cooking, especially traditional Italian dishes made with fresh, healthy and genuine ingredients. We love having friends over for dinner and spending time together around the table. We also enjoy going to the theatre as a family, including with the children. Whenever we can, we like going for walks in nature, spending time outdoors and going to the seaside, which is very close to where we live.
  
  Teresa is 9 years old and is in her fourth year of primary school. She goes to school from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In the afternoon, she usually studies and does her homework at home, and she also takes part in sports activities. Arturo is 3 years old and has just started his first year of preschool. He goes to school from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. In the afternoon, he usually comes home, rests for a while and then spends time with either his mum or dad. He enjoys playing at home, doing different activities together or going to the playground, often by bike.Teresa is 9 years old. She is a lively, curious and strong-minded girl with a great sense of humour. Arturo is 3 years old, sweet and energetic, and enjoys playing and discovering new things.
  
  Animals are also a very important part of our family. We have a 5-year-old dog called Pepita. She is very calm, friendly and sociable, and she often comes with us when we go out.
  We also have two lovely cats, Anna and Nina. They are both very sweet and relaxed. They love sleeping on the sofas and spending time among the trees in our garden. They live both inside and outside the house and are very much part of our daily life.
  For this reason, it is important for our au pair to feel comfortable around animals and, especially, not to suffer from cat allergies.
  
  Our daily life is quite active but also relaxed and family-oriented. We value spending time together, sharing meals, enjoying music, meeting friends and giving our children the opportunity to grow up surrounded by nature, animals and a warm family atmosphere.
  
  We are looking for an au pair who would like to become part of our family for around six months, from January until July. We are looking for someone kind, responsible and caring, who enjoys spending time with children and would be happy to help us with their daily routine.
  
  We have already hosted au pairs for several years, and every experience has been very special for our family. We love the cultural exchange and the opportunity to welcome someone from another country into our home.
  We hope to find a friendly and open-minded au pair who will enjoy spending these months with us and feel like part of our family.

  We live in southern Italy in a beautiful place. Our town is small but very lively. There are a lot of young people here who are creative and friendly. We live very close to a lot of different beautiful beaches and protected natural parks. People here are very open and friendly, so it is the perfect place for you to practice your Italian, as everyone in town loves to talk with newcomers.

  We are looking for a girl who would like to stay with us for a longer period, ideally for a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months. More than anything, we are looking for someone who would genuinely like to become part of our family life, who enjoys being around children and spending meaningful, happy time with them, and who is also willing to help with everyday household tasks.
  
  Any additional skills, hobbies or talents are very welcome and can become a lovely part of the experience we share together.
  
  We are looking for someone who will live with us and help with the kind of everyday things a family like ours needs: spending time with the children, taking them to the park some afternoons, helping with meal preparation, and helping with household tasks, especially those related to the children, such as their clothes, tidying their toys and keeping their things organized.
  
  From time to time, we may also ask you to take Pepita, our little dog, for a walk when our schedule does not allow us to do it ourselves.
  
  A very important part of the experience is English. We are looking for someone who speaks English very well and who can help Teresa improve her English, either through more structured lessons or simply through conversation and fun activities together. The same is true for us: Marco and I would also love to improve our spoken English and become more confident in conversation.
  
  We would also be very happy if you had a hobby, interest or talent that you would enjoy sharing with our children. Teresa loves drawing, basketball and skating, while Arturo, who is only 3 years old, loves playing the drums and music in general.
  
  There are always small projects to do around the house too, such as putting up a shelf, planting flowers in the garden, organizing toys or painting a door. On those days, it would be very helpful if you were happy to give us a hand.
  
  We ask for a maximum of 5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week. Very often, you will be doing things together with one of us rather than being left on your own. Elisa works in the mornings while the children are at school and sometimes needs some extra help in the afternoons when she works from home. Marco also works from home quite often, so especially at the beginning, we will make sure you feel supported and comfortable and will not leave you alone with everything.
  
  We are a very organized family, so we will plan the week together in advance, with clear working hours, so that you can also organize your free time and make the most of your stay.
  
  We also go out a lot and often take day trips or spend time with friends and relatives at the weekend. You will always be welcome to join us if you would like to, but of course you will also be completely free to make your own plans and enjoy your time independently.
  
  Our house is large, arranged over two floors, and has a garden. It is located in the town centre, so you can easily reach everything you may need. We are also close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Puglia, including Santa Caterina and Porto Selvaggio.

  We would all love to improve our English. Elisa and Marco would especially like to become more confident in spoken English and improve their conversation skills, while Teresa is already studying English at school and would benefit from practicing it in a more natural and enjoyable way.

  Our house is big and bright with a garden, and it is centrally located. You can get eveywhere you need to go in town by foot within minutes. We have an indoor-outdoor cat, so we are looking for someone who is not allergic to cats.

  In your free time, you can enjoy the gorgeous beaches here, take walks and borrow a bike for bike rides-- the landscape here is flat, so it is perfect for a bike ride. You can reach the beach by bicycle within about a half hour by riding through the beautiful countryside here. Our town is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, so it is always a pleasure to take a ride. You can also visit many other fun towns nearby. Our region has many different towns located within a close proximity to one another, so it is quite easy to explore. In the summer, there are many different town festivals in every town, so there is always something fun to do-- live music in the piazzas, etc... Our town has a train that can connect you with other towns nearby. There is also a bus that runs more frequently in the summer.

  We have a very good internet connection and a quiet room separate from the rest of the house, which we use as a home office. It is equipped with a desk, computer workspace, printer, and everything you may need to work remotely.

  Pepita is our lovely 4-year-old mixed-breed dog. She is medium-sized, very sweet and calm, and she loves playing and going for walks. She is affectionate, gentle, and enjoys being around people.
