Dear all,
My name is Nizar, I am the founder of the project, the first low-cost house designed to revolutionize the construction industry by producing passive, low cost, fully self-sustainable dwellings with low carbon footprint, using a combination of ancestral building techniques and cutting edge eco-friendly architectural solutions.
A combination of tradition, and modern scientific knowledge.
We started the build in October 2017, with a workshop that lasted two months, than a second workshop spread from May to November 2018 and achieved with it the first story.
A third workshop spread from May to November 2019 and achieved with it the second story shell.
Now we are preparing for the construction of second story interior work on the setback terrace farm over the 1st story.
A fourth workshop will be launched when the spring season opens its doors and will last until November 2020.
On this season list :
Adobe brick and Glass bottle walls
Straw-bale insulation
Earth plaster
Carpentry
etc.
See you there,

How to get there:
Once you get to Baskinta Village, take the road leading you to Al Nahr Restaurant (ask
around). 150M prior to arriving to the restaurant, there is an alley that will lead you to Nizar
Haddad’s house and land, where the construction and camping sites will be located.
How to get to Baskinta Village from Beirut:
Option 1: You have to get under Dora Bridge (North Highway), to the round-about. Right
after the round-about, there are random buses that stop and are headed a bit everywhere
north of Beirut. So you have to ask around. These buses usually come every hour (from
6am to 8pm) and usually wait for about half an hour (bus to be full) before they take off. So
ask around the buses that are stopped you will surely find one. This is definitely the cheapest
way to get to Baskinta from Beirut, it will cost you around 3,500 LBP (less than $3) to get
there.
The bus will pass through the main round-about of the village named as “Stouh lbaladiyeh”,
and will continue to the left for around 600 meter, or could just stop to the round-about.
In both cases stop at the round-about of Baskinta and call us, to come and take you from
there by car, otherwise if you have 45 min to spare, you can ask for Al Nahr restaurant and
come by walk.
Mainly from the round-about, you take the left road and keep going straight on the main road
for 45 min.
Option 2: Uber, Careem or any other taxi company will take you from Beirut to Baskinta and
visa-versa for around $25, this is a good option if you are sharing and can afford it or have
heavy luggage to carry.
The Lebanese mountain trail passes by the village for people interested in hiking during their free time.
The region is very green, crossed by a river. You can enjoy these beautiful landscapes.Un poco más de información

He is manual and understands the task requirements fastly, someone you can rely on in precise work.
Despite this, i enjoyed my short stay, as Nizar is a really nice guys who i had good time, good laugh… read more
Clearly one of the best volunteers that participated in the construction of this place.
