I am very happy that my first workaway experience was by Jaques and Isabel in the beautiful Vitteaux. They are very nice and easygoing persons. Their house and garden are very nice place to spend time on it. Relaxing evening drinking a glass wine and cooking paella was so nice that i will never forget it. They offer me a nice place in the garden

My week with Jaques and Isabel was amazing. It was my first Workaway experience and it was so much better than I expected. Isabel and Jaques are very kind and their house and garden are beautiful. The surroundings with the hills and meadows are very pretty and the time seemed to have stopped in all of the small towns nearby. They were willing to
… read more show me around. We went to a turquoise lake, to medieval castles, to flea markets and to small towns like Flavigny. I had so much fun. Even though they were planning a big event, they made sure they had enough time for me.
The work was super reasonable. I helped mostly in the garden, it wasn't too hard or too difficult. And the toad hunt was very funny. Their garden is big and beautiful. They have certainly made it a little paradise.
The meals were delicious! Isabel is a very good cook, it was a pleasure to cook with her and learn new recipies.
I definitely recommend staying with them. Thank you so much for having me!

I had a lovely time staying with Isabel and Jaques. Fantastic food and a great opportunity to learn about gardening. Was wonderful to be able to see some surrounding villages as well. Thank you Isabel and Jaques! (fingers crossed for more rain next summer!)

Wow, I had such a pleasant time with Isabelle and Jack! Super knowledgeable, funny and laid-back people. I really enjoyed helping them with their B&B with varied, interesting work, and a delicious meal at the end of the day! I enjoyed all of our conversations, and appreciate your effort in showing me the area, it was a super workaway experience :)

I stayed for 3weeks by the two lovely persons and their dog Chessi. Ischa teached me a lot about gardening and cooking. Everyone who is interested in gardening can learn a lot from Ischa. Tze same goes for cooking (home made is the best)
Jack you will find always outside. He speaks a lot of languages and is never to tired to tell you the right way

Everyday, I got some private time to study my french, as well as some exercises.
I went on tours to explore the beautiful landscape of Bourgnong, with Ischa or alone. The Busstation is,more or less infront of the house.

My stay at Isabel and Chucks Bed&Breakfast were a very good experience. I learned a lot about gardening and how to start growing vegtables. Also they were very dedicated to teach me the french language and to show me some hiking trails around Vitteaux. The dog Chessy was a good hiking companion and a lot of fun to stay fit :D

Hello everybody,
we had Dorothee staying with us for a forthnight and are very sorry to see her leaving! She was an absolute delight; helpfull, practical and generous.
