New farm in Kaz Dağları (Ida Mountain) forest. We are in Karaköy/Bayramiç. I am Kerem, the owner of the place and always accompanied by friends. We are currently building our living space, planting trees. We are into natural farming and permaculture and try to apply the principals. We are just starting.
We have built 3 Mongolian style yurt tents (gers) as living space and a bigger space as a workshop. We have a fairly well equipped carpentry workshop so we are building more yurts to sell and doing some regular carpentry jobs as well.
We pick grapes in september, walnuts and apples in October. Olives in November. Plant trees in December to February. Harvest and process food from march to october. Gardening, landscaping and carpentering/building all year round.
We work around 4-5 hours a day. We avoid hours of strong sun and rainy weather. Work can be hard at times but never long.
Things you should know:
No internet or cell phone coverage. We trek up the hill nearby (about 10 minutes) and there we can check mail and phone.
We have limited electricity. Solar power to charge cell phones and laptops and to have lights at night.
Things to bring: Boots or strong shoes apt for the season and for mountain-forest terrain. Raincoats for anytime except summer. Coats and gloves for winter. Insect repellent for summer if you need. There are no poisonous bugs or scorpions, but some mosquitoes in the summer.
There are some snakes around. Few of them venomous. But they don't bother you if you don't bother them and they just slide away.
If you must listen to music on your phone all the time, please bring some headphones as not everybody may share your taste.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

As I have done so much volunteering myself, I think it has to be a learning experience and working and experimenting together. So I try to variate the tasks instead of dumping boring, repetitive chores that I don't want to do myself on the volunteers. We will be working together, I wouldn't ask anybody to do something I wouldn't do.
The work can be hard at times but not longer than 5 hours a day. You can have two days off of your choosing every week.
This is not the place if it is your first time at a farm. We are off the grid so just living here is some work on its own. So basic farm and camping skills are required like using a hammer, pick, shovel, axe and saw, cutting/chopping wood, making a fire etc.Idiomas hablados

Yurts and Tents. Yurts have woodburners in the winter.
The yurt you will be staying is shared. It may be just you or you may have a roommate. You can also set up your own tent.
The life is not very comfortable nor very hygienic in the mountain. The facilities are makeshift. Building as we go along. But we live happily without any problems. The toilet is dry compost toilet or you can always go to the forest. There is no toilet paper because we don't use any.(we use water) So if you can't do without it, you should bring some with you.
Shower and laundry: in the summer it is easy with just a garden hose or in the stream. In the winter it is with water heated on the woodstove.
We provide the food. We cook it together. Mostly vegetarian, sometimes vegan. Maybe a little meat or fish every once in a while if everybody agrees. We are not strict.Algo más...
Lots of rivers around to swim in and mountains to climb.

The road is bumpy and narrow. But I can go up to the place with my own car which is not a 4x4. Camper vans with a high roof may not be able to enter because of the trees blocking the way.
