2025 we are planning for now!! We will be taking in maybe 1 or 2 groups in for the year so write to us if your interested and we can talk some more and see if it can work . Write to us as a group or individually and we Will do our best to group people together . Maximum 3 at anyone time can stay .
We are a family of five, having taken over a farm that has been in the family for many hundreds of years in one of the most beautiful areas of western Sweden. Within hiking or cycling distance, you can reach the ocean and the natural heritage area, Gulmarsfjorden. We have a kayak you can use if you wish to explore here. Or hop on an express bus at the edge of the farm and head to Gothenberg in about an hour. Or Oslo, in about 2 hours. Our farm has some goats, bees, chickens, farm dog and a cat - but mainly on a self sufficient basis. We also have regular visits from Elk and deer, who we do not hunt. They feed in our forests and on our fields year round. There are plenty of berries and mushrooms to be found in the summer months and a small lake which can be braved if you feel the need! We also have bicycles you can borrow and a kayak or two you can use :) We are well traveled ourselves and offer a warm and friendly home in exchange for a little help as needed to maintain the farm. Our ideal guests are able to work independently on allocated tasks although instruction and help is always available. Please read the reviews and ask questions as you need .
This summer, we will have a variety of tasks including the rejuvenation of our household garden and some simple renovation help on an unused 200 year old traditional swedish house which will be the future workaway accommodation!
Preference given to those using more sustainable travel methods.

The farm is in good condition and we just seek an extra pair of hands to help keep it that way. Our hope is to offer this experience on a flexible basis - where we can accommodate travelers who wish to explore - or those that have a young family. We will have specific tasks set, and sometimes these are weather dependent - so we need people who can be flexible in this way.

Own little cottage with a nice sweeping view over the fields or in our house with a room which you may have to share with one other workawayer.

Good public transport links. Excellent hiking trails from our doorstep. Nearby tourist areas of Lysekil and Fiskebacksil also offer plenty of activities in the summer months. Great diving and swimming in Gullmarsfjorden only a twenty minute bicycle ride away. Plenty to do, or just chill on the farm or walk in our forrest.

I am so sorry for letting waiting you for so long for feedback, but this doesn’t change anything in my gratefulness and memories of the time in September.
