Ayuda
We have 2 lively 12 year old twins (a girl and a boy). They both love dancing, gymnastics, swimming, trampolining, motocross - basically anything energetic. We are lucky we have a large garden with a heated swimming pool so there is plenty of room for them to run and shout. They attend the local school and are fluent in both English & Portuguese.
We would like our workawayers to help look after our small menagerie (chickens, ducks, dog, guinea pigs and goldfish) and general jobs around the house (cleaning, tidying-up etc) and garden (weeding, composting, tendering veg beds etc), cooking family meals. As well as possibly helping with projects painting, building and even a tree house.
During the cooler months (October - May) the help will be more outside than inside.
In summer when it's too hot for much gardening the help will be more inside than outside.
During school holidays more time will be spent playing with the kids and less on other stuff.
Occasionally we may spend a few days away and we would then ask our workawayer to be our house and pet-sitter. Plus the vegetable patch that will need keeping an eye on too.
We believe strongly that both the host and the workawayer must enjoy their roles and strive to reach a "win/win" situation - it's the only way to keep everybody happy and we all like happy!Idiomas

We got to work a lot of different things, so it never got boring. Mostly outside work, walking the dog, feeding the chickens and ducks, hedge trimming, planting things, painting... Sarah and Manoj had a great way of communicating, they always checked if we are fine with the work and everything else. They warmly welcomed us… read more
