  Our traditional Provencal house stands high up on a Southern mountain side overlooking our own pretty little village and the Mediterranean Sea, 30 min away. We love company and offer you a room or a shared room in our house or in our garden chalet, depending on circumstances. We are a creative mother (57 years) and a lovely son (20 years) who has Down syndrome. We are Finnish speaking Finnish and English at home. Our house is cosy and the views from here are fabulous! During the summer we have a pool.

  What we can teach you or provide you with is experience of living in a small village in Provence, I can teach you Finnish and discuss in both Finnish and in English, you can integrate in our local village life and get to know the French Riviera and Provence. We can take some lovely trips to areas nearby together in my car (sharing the petrol costs, if possible). I can be your guide into living in Provence or perhaps help you with your possible dream of relocating here - or in Finland, where our principal residence is located.

  Ayuda

  We have a need for someone to come here mid-late February and give us a hand in cleaning the house after a major renovation. Dust everywhere! Help us to clean the house from top to bottom, please. You do need to be able to stand some building dust as we do the job, but no special skills are needed.
  
  My normal advert: Come and stay with us in Provence working in our Mediterranean garden (no special skills needed!), doing some DYI (small domestic repairs), perhaps helping us build a chalet in the garden (from a kit!) and/or keeping company to my Down son of 20 years (loves to play Minecraft and compose videos, learn conversation, learn French and social skills and to exercise). Feel free to offer your skills to me and we will see, how we could make use of them here! I have always multiple projects going on :)

  Happy to teach spoken English and Finnish. Finnish also at deeper level, if needed. Would love to learn better Italian, German, French etc.

  Alojamiento

  One family house on a beautiful hillside with a large garden and a pool. You can have a room or a shared room, depending on how we agree and if there are others at the same time with you, which ever suits you best. You will have your own bathroom with toilet. On workdays I will provide you with lunch and the other times we can either share or eat our own preferred meals.

  There is an abundance of beautiful places to visit and things to do in Provence and the French Riviera. The Mediterranean Sea and Cannes are only 30 min drive away, Nice 45 min, Italy is about 1h30min away, multiple quaint villages 5-60 min away, ski slopes 1,5h away and the Mercantour natural park 1,5h away also. Our house is peaceful and relaxation here is easy. We have a TV and Wi-Fi. Bus takes you to Grasse and the near by villages and it runs just outside our yard.

  I have an office space for remote work if needed. We can make an arrangement about that too if needed, but I can offer you a desk in your room also. My internet has worked well for my own remote working.
