Welcome to our husky farm in Finnish Lapland on the edge of Pallas National Park. We live and work here with our 40 Alaskan Huskies and offer husky tours in winter. A good knowledge of German and English is required. We originally come from Germany, but have been living and working in Finland for 10 years. Among other things, we are trained wilderness guides and are happy to share the typical way of life in Lapland with you. The Pallas-Ylläs National Park is one of the most beautiful in Finland. Our husky farm is located in the center of the popular ski areas of Pallas/Ollos and Levi with the nearest airport, Kittilä, 40 minutes away.

Since our guests are accommodated in a wilderness camp ( 3 km from our private property) and the tours are driven by us (Thomas and Linda), we need support in everyday life and around our private property. You are also welcome to help with berry picking, cooking and storing supplies.
We are looking for help with fall training, woodwork, help around the house and on our property. We also need help with our private and older dogs who are living out their well-deserved retirement. This includes caring for and cleaning the cages and allowing them to run free every day.

Since we also drive our sled dogs ourselves, you are welcome to lead your own dog team on the runners.

In order to ensure the best cultural exchange and leisure time, we are looking for 2 people for the period from September 2024 to April 2025. Couples who want to get away from their everyday life are also welcome.

Herzlich Willkommen auf unserer Huskyfarm in finnisch Lappland am Rande des Pallas-Nationalparkes. Wir leben und arbeiten hier mit unseren 40 Alaskan Huskies und bieten im Winter Huskytouren an. Vorraussetzung sind gute Deutsch und Englischkenntnisse. Urprünglisch kommen wir aus Deutschland, leben und arbeiten aber seit 10 Jahren in Finnland. Unter anderem sind wir ausgebildete Wildnissführer und freuen uns die typische Lebensweise in Lappland mit euch zu teilen. Der Pallas -Ylläs Nationalpark zählt zu einem der schönsten in ganz Finnland. Unsere Huskyfarm liegt im Zentrum der beliebten Skigebiete Pallas/Ollos und Levi mit dem nächsten Flughafen Kittilä 40 Minuten entfernt.

Da unsere Gäste in einem Wildnisscamp ( 3 km von unserem Grundstück) untergebracht sind und die Touren von uns (Thomas und Linda ) gefahren werden, brauchen wir Unterstützung im Alltag und rund um unser privates Grundstück. Gerne könnt ihr auch beim Beerenpflücken, Vorräte einkochen und einlagern sowie handgemachte Seife helfen.
Wir suchen Hilfe für das Herbsttraining, Holzarbeiten, Mithilfe im Haushalt und auf unserem Grundstück. Zudem brauchen wir Hilfe bei unseren privaten und ältere Hunde die ihre wohlverdiente Rente ausleben. Dazu zählt das versorgen, reinigen der Käfige und täglicher Freilauf.

Da wir selber privat auch unsere Schlittenhunde fahren, seid ihr herzlich willkommen auch mal auf den Kufen euer eigenes Hundegespann zu führen.

Um den besten kulturen Austausch und Freizeit zu gewährleisten, suchen wir 2 Personen für den Zeitraum vom September 2024 bis April 2025, Sehr gerne auch Paare, die einmal aus ihrem Alltag aussteigen wollen.

Alojamiento
Double room (well suited for a couple) on the ground floor of our family home with a guest toilet. Shared living room. Shared bathroom with sauna. Community kitchen. Generally it is a large house that allows privacy. We usually plan meals together. Especially in winter, we also cook larger quantities to provide for the guests.

Doppelzimmer ( gut geeignet für ein Paar) im Erdgeschoss unseres Einfamilienhause mit Gästetoilette.
Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer. Gemeinschaftsbad mit Sauna. Gemeinschaftsküche.
Generell ist es ein großes Haus, das Privatsphäre ermöglicht.
Mahlzeiten gestalten wir meistens zusammen. Besonders im Winter kochen wir auch größere Mengen, um die Gäste mitzuversorgen.

- Active activities in the area such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, fitness studio... - Visit to the Muonio/Kittilä adult education center with numerous cultural courses. We have very good bus connections to the nearest towns of Muonio and Sirkka (Levi), both 30 km away , which is little by Lapland standards. We also regularly drive this route ourselves. Our property also offers space for your own car or camper.

Wir haben eine sehr gute Busanbindung in die nächsten Orte Muonio und Sirkka (Levi) beides 30 km entfernt, was wenig für lappländische Verhältnisse ist. Zudem fahren wir selbst auch regelmäßig mit dem Auto diese Strecke.
Unser Grundstück bietet auch Platz für einen eigenen Wagen oder Camper.
