  Hello! We are a friendly family with two grown children, a spacious house in the countryside, and a vegetables garden. Our home is located right on the Camino de Santiago (St. Jacque's Way), in the heart of the beautiful vineyard region of El Bierzo (León, Northwest of Spain).
  
  We are beginning to develop our garden using regenerative agriculture, and we would love some help and motivation to keep improving. Since kids are now studying and working away from home, we need an extra pair of hands

  Hola! Somos una familia con dos hijos, una casa en el campo y una huerta. Nuestra casa está en el Camino de Santiago y en el medio de la preciosa zona de viñedos del Bierzo (León). Queremos cultivar la huerta en agricultura regenerativa. Los chicos ahora están trabajando y estudiando fuera de casa y hace falta ayuda con la poda de los frutales, la huerta, la leña y el desbroce. Crece mucho la hierba aquí!. Nuestra zona ofrece paisajes maravillosos, rutas de montaña muy bonitas y muy cerca, y ríos con playas fluviales divertidísimas.

  Ayuda

  🌱 Tasks
  We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working in the orchard and garden
  • 🌳 Pruning fruit trees, only prunning from the ground, fruit trees are small sized
  • 🥕 Working in the vegetable garden (planting, weeding, watering, harvesting)
  • 🔥 Collecting and chopping firewood, only thin branchs from the fruit trees and garden bushes prunning, chainsaw is not needed
  • 🌾 Clearing brush / maintaining the land (the grass grows very fast here!)
  
  
  🕒 Hours & Expectations
  We usually ask for:
  • 4 hours of help per day,
  • 4 days a week,
  • with three days free for rest, hiking, or exploring the area.
  We are flexible with schedules and can adjust depending on weather, season, or travel plans.

  🌱Tareas
  
  Buscamos voluntarios que disfruten del trabajo en la huerta y el jardín:
  - 🌳Poda de frutales, está poda se hace desde el suelo, los frutales son árboles de poca talla
  - 🥕Trabajos en la huerta y el jardín (sembrar, quitar hierbas, regar, segar..)
  - 🔥Recoger y picar leña, solo leña fina, lo que sale de la poda de los frutales y arbustos del jardín, no hace falta motosierra
  - 🌾Desbrozar (la hierba crece muy rápido aquí!)

  - Baño compartido, acceso a cocina, wifi, lavadora, etc.
  - Comida casera y saludable (usamos ingredientes de la huerta y fruta de la zona cuando están disponibles, cerezas, peras, manzanas, uvas...)
  - Nos adaptamos a dietas vegetarianas
  - Puedes ayudar en la cocina y estaremos encantados de que compartas con nosotros tus recetas

  We enjoy cooking simple, fresh meals. We can adapt to vegetarian diets if needed.
