We are looking for english speakers for volunteering in a school. The students are from 6 to 15 years old.
No need to be a teacher! The goal is to bring another culture to the students and get them to hear english or any other foreign langage.
It can be a great opportunity to discover the local lifestyle and the culture.
The school is located at 22km from Deniyaya. Transport will be arranged for you.
We are a family of four people running our guesthouse in Deniyaya a village close to Sinharaja Rainforest. In our place we welcome visitors from all over the world. Our region is popular for its beautiful rainforest, the last remaining one in Sri Lanka. We are offering guided tours through the jungle.
Also we have founded a non-profit-organisation. Since 1999 we are supporting different kinds of rural projects in the health, house and educational sector.

We would love to welcome motivated and nature-loving volunteers at our place. Our volunteers can help us with our guesthouse and the visitors as well as the social projects. There is a wide range of working projects: from cooking and housework, to eco projects and support in our rural schools.
Our volunteers also have the possibility to discover the beautiful nature surrounding our place. You will also get great insights to the culture and people of Sri Lanka.

We are offering comfortable rooms with separate bathroom for our volunteers. Also we provide free meals three times a day.
Deniyaya is located in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Its the perfect starting point for trips to the nearby rainforest, but also for further destinations on the south coast. Galle can be reached by bus within three hours, Colombo within six hours. Busses are running hourly.
