We are a couple, Didzis and Santa creating our own utopia. We moved here permanently one year ago.
Our camp is located in the woods without public road access. Now we are practicing new skills, learning and figuring out how to sustain this lifestyle in long term. You are welcome to join us, if you want to embrace wilderness and adventure spirit.
This is also home for our extended family - three malamutes and two greenlanddogs.
We’ d prefer long stays versus short term visits, so you can create the bond with the dogs and the place, to get out most from the experience

We are enjoying walks a lot. The nature around is very diverse -- woods, bogs and meadows. Depending on season there's mushrooms, berries to pick. Or just enjoy the the the habitat which is in constantly changing. You meet wild animals and birds, they're not scared since here you cannot hear a single industrial sound or noisy motorway.
The region worth to explore, again, the population density around is relatively small, so if you go for bike touring you wont encounter a lot of traffic, which is nice.
Didzis is very invested in mushing, he recently discovered the beauty of North and has some stories about Arctic adventures. Of course, you'll get to know dogs, his travel companions.
Depending on your skill or intention we will find the activity that match. This year we need to fix the wall of the main house, prepare the fire wood and make the trails. We are learning by doing, so even if you don't have a particular experience, you can get it here.

We have outdoor tipi tents for sleeping and privacy. They are very comfy, equipped with stove for year round accommodation.
Indoor and outdoor kitchens are shared.
Get ready for minimum comfort level, there's no electricity (we have solar and power generator, yet we are using it only when there's a need, no extras), water comes from the well and toilet is outdoors. There's also one bigger pond in the neighborhood for swimming.
We love good food! We are omnivores, but cooking also vegetarian/vegan, specially in summer months, when there's abundance of fresh veggies.
