Hello Workaway participants,
My name is Burak.
Together with my brother and Sezar, we run a small bungalow hotel.
Life here is simple and peaceful. Our small bungalow hotel is located inside an old mandarin orchard, surrounded by fruit trees and only a 5 min walk from the sea. Many volunteers enjoy the rhythm of garden life: spending a few hours cleaning guest rooms, a few hours working outdoors, swimming in the sea, and enjoying relaxing evenings in the garden.
When I first started working in the garden, there were around 70 fruit trees. Today, we have more than 170 trees, and we continue planting more every year. In the garden you will find mandarin trees, olive trees (some over 100 years old), lemons, avocados, oranges, loquats, and many other plants. We also have a few cats living here who seem to believe they are the real owners of the place.
A Typical Day Here
We usually start our mornings with coffee or tea in the garden. After that, we work for a few hours. Tasks may include cleaning the bungalows, gardening, or helping with small projects around the property.
In the afternoons, people usually go to the beach, explore Alanya, read books in the garden, or simply relax.

It’s a family run business with no permanent employee that’s in a big garden, meaning there’re lots of various small tasks instead of doing same thing for hours and days.
I'll be helping and explainig what to do and/or I might be doing tasks with you so no worries about how to help.
In winter (November - February) it might be rainy and we might need to do tasks outdoors. Bring appropriate gear for outdoor tasks(raincoat, rain proof shoes, etc..)
In summer (June - August) it’s definitely going to be really hot and overwhelming so make sure you’re up to it. Mosquito repellent and sunscreen would be helpful.
Bring clothes and/or shoes that you’re ok getting dirty.
