URGENTLY need VOLUNTEERS to start ASAP
I am SwissGerman but have been living in Tamraght for 15 years. I rescue and take in injured or sick street animals. I have two locations for the shelter. One is my house where you will stay. Here is where we have the animals that need special attention and all the cats. The other location is near to banana beach.

I live in the centre of Tamraght a small village on the coast of Morocco surrounded by Berber and Arab culture, beautiful nature and many fun activities.
You will be living in a shelter and so will see the day to day progress in animal rights in Morocco.
Shephards roam the village with their livestock. Fishing boats dot the shoreline. There are beaches for surfing, relaxing. Many restaurants and it is easy to get around by car or taxi.

VOLUNTEERS needed URGENTLY
A typical day in the shelter begins early. We start with feeding and watering all the animals at the house. Then all floors/terraces are to be cleaned, blankets changed and any medication given. After this we will enjoy a breakfast and cuddle time with the animals. After breakfast we go to the shelter down. Here we feed and water all animals. We clean each cage at different intervals, allowing the dogs to run around for a while and showing them lots of love and attention. Any maintenance that needs to be done to the cages or garden area is done as well.

if you have a drivers license some trips to the vet will be required.
Since we work in a rabies area, we recommend that you get vaccinated against rabies before your trip. Our volunteers have no contact with us with unvaccinated animals. In principle, these are only supplied by our employees. Since you are confronted with animals everywhere on the streets, in restaurants and on the beach and you do not see an infection in the animals, we recommend everyone to vaccinate rabies. A small scratch from a begging cat or a playing puppy happened quickly. Vaccination gives you important time to take the important immunoglobuline. In the event of all cases, we are of course always available for our volunteers.

*N.B. Please bring your own toiletries and towels. Use of the laundry machine is not permitted however there is a laundry mat 2mins walk from the house.*
I offer basic vegetables, pasta, rice, bread, fruit.( one hot meal and breakfast a day)

The beach is 5 mins walk. As are shops. There is surf, bodyboarding, kite surfing and hiking all close by.
