  My husband and I live in rural Victoria, BC, Canada. We are retired professionals with two small dogs and a cat. We have a lovely large private garden which has been described as an oasis of calm in a turbulent world. We love being out in the numerous wilderness parks, lakes and oceanfront in our area. We take full advantage of the local farm markets, wineries, brewpubs and distilleries in our neighbourhood.
  Our Welsh Corgis, Polly and Ralphie, each have loads of personality and wonderful sense of humour. They love to chase each other around the garden and house.
  Our house is a redone cottage situated in the middle of our 1.25 acres, which is fully fenced for the safe keeping of our dogs.
  Our cat, Lucinda, spends most of her days lounging in the sun and keeping Ralphie at bay.
  We are hoping to find a couple who enjoy dogs, cats and gardens.

  The Victoria area offers a strong connection with west coast Indigenous culture as well as numerous arts and literary events that are endemic to the capital city that is home to many scientific and post secondary educational facilities and the BC Museum.
  
  It's a great place to stay and is centrally located to visiting the Gulf Islands and points west towards Sooke or north towards Shawnigan Lake. There are lots of paddle board rentals nearby. There's a bus stop right outside the property and a transit hub 2 km away at Royal Oak. There's a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops nearby. Sydney is a mecca for book lovers as it has many new and used book stores.

  Ayuda

  We ask someone here full-time help with the dogs as that is what they are used to. They need to be fed in the morning and evening, same for the cat. We would also like some parts of the garden to be hand watered.

  We have a two bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, 2000 sq ft house, one level. Lots of windows facing the gardens. We will provide food staples but with all the local markets, we expect our house-sitters to purchase perishibles from them.
