Hi everyone!
We are an Italian family living in the North of Italy and we are looking forward to meeting you!
We live in a small town surrounded by mountains, close to Milano and on Lake Como. In summer we rent a house close to Bellagio to enjoy the outdoor and the beach. My name is Veronica, I’m 44 years old and I am a doctor (paeditrician). My husband is Marco, he is 47 and he works for a bus company in Como. We have two children.
Gaia, our daughter, is 9. She is very active and outgoing, likes to chat, dance, paint and, of course, play! She also likes to spend time outside going for walks. She has just started her 4th year at primary school. She is a very curious and clever girl.
Tommaso, our son, is 7. He has started his secondy year of primary school. He is a happy boy who likes to be out and about, try new things and who enjoys playing soccer, cycling and building constructions.
We are looking forward to meeting you because we love travelling the world and now that we can’t do it as much as we would love to, we would like to bring “part of the world” to our home! We will need your help in taking care of the kids, getting them ready in the mornings and walking them to the bus stop and then from mid afternoon to pick them up from school (we will provide a car) and taking them to their activities or take them home to do homework, play together and teach them English.

We love the cultural exchange, since 2014 we have been hosting aupairs coming from all over the world. We loved to teach them Italian and we required them to speak English with the kids.

We live in an apartment in the heart of historical centre in Lecco, full of shops, 400 mt from the railway station and 200 mt from the lake.
We provide a nice single room with a bed, table and chair and wardrobe and the use of a bathroom.
Lecco is a very beautiful city on famous lake Como and right under the mountains, where you can enjoy nature and still have fun shopping and spending time at cafes and pubs with friends. We live right in the centre, close to shops, cafes, a theatre and at literally 2 minutes walking distance from the lake and from the train station. You can reach Milano centre in 40 minutes by train with no changes.

Marco and I both work pretty hard, but as a family in our spare time we all enjoy being outdoor and staying active, we like walking on the mountains, skiing, swimming in the lake or taking the kids to the pool (they both started when they were just 4 months old). We are very close to our families as well so we like to see the grandparents on the weekend sharing cakes and coffees or having lunch together.
What you would be required to do is basically to spend time with Gaia and Tommaso and chat and play with them in English.
Although we would love you to be part of the family and feel at home, of course you will have free time for yourself and we can discuss details together. We are happy to be flexible and it will be very appreciated if you can be flexible too!
We would like to share our culture and our country with you, starting from our surrounding areas, the lake and the mountains (Alps) where we often go and are eager to learn about yours as well!
