We are a young family with an eco-lodge . Our names are Jack, Adecya, Bodhin (3yo) and Isla (2yo)
. ask us for our link and we can show you our eco lodge.

The underwater pictures you see are of our reef, 20 meters from the shoreline. Together with the locals we have protected it for the 4 years. There are sea eagles, birds of paradise, hornbills, parrots, cockatoos, maleo birds, cuscus, sugar-gliders, many butterflies, turtles, octopus, giant clams, walking sharks, cuttlefish, mantas (if the season) baby black tip reef sharks, all kinds of reef fish all in our the garden/reef and 3 dogs called Chilli, Peppa and Rokok.

You can read about our lodge on our website-ask us for the link

This has the most marine biodiversity in the world.
But it’s not only that, West papua is the largest conservation province on the planet and the Rainforest is the biggest in Asia. It’s officially the most biodiverse area on land as well as the sea

We can teach you how to protect the coral reef and about agroforestry, permaculture and off grid living.

So the main thing you would gather from being here is seeing what tropical nature should be, how fragile it is and the dangers facing it and learning realistic ways to help.

    Ayuda

At the moment we are only looking for skilled help such as electrics, arborist (these first two skills are always welcome), trail builder, wood work, plumbing, cement work are also skills we are interested in.

If you have those skills and your partner has other skills like; grafting, drone pilot, (professional level) or, we have a cook but if you have a lot of cooking experience or have lots of experience with kids we would also consider an application but we can’t if it’s it’s just “good with kids,” or “like to cook.”

We need a minimum of 4-8 weeks depending on skill level (if you have professional skills we don’t mind staying a shorter time). The reason is this and our lifestyle are so different to most people that it takes about a month to get your bearings and settle in.

Most of the people who write to us mainly want a diving holiday, to do some yoga and to get some good photos which is understandable and of course you can do what you want on your time off, or better yet, stay as a guest, but we ideally want people who understand this kind of project, appreciate the work that’s gone into and are genuinely interested in trying to help around the lodge.

To be clear we can’t have you help with our lodge business so this is just personal help around the lodge, gardens and our land.

    Algo más...

On your time off you can do snorkelling, stand up paddling, trekking in the forest, bird watching, fishing with local people etc

To get here is quite a long journey
Jakarta -(airplane)- sorong -(ferry)- waisai -(car/motorbike) - saporkren(the village) -(boat)- Our paradise!

We get around by boat, usually pick up groceries from delivery guy, if you need to go in to town you can go with him and it takes 30mins
if you don't speak Bahasa your social life will be a bit limited, but if a comfortable Robinson Crusoe life style surrounded by a pristine rainforest and beautiful reefs is enough then you’ll be fine

We are arguably about as central as you can be in this place, close to everything.
