Descripción

A working coffee farm with gardens and animals. hard work, great food, good fun and internet. Located in a beautiful area in the mountains of Oaxaca. The place is somewhat remote in a lush area surrounded by nature and there are some great hikes with lots of birds and butterflies. I have always been a traveler, not a tourist, and before I bought this coffee farm I drove from Arkansas to Ushuaia Argentina with my girlfriend on an epic three year adventure. I have now settled down on this piece of paradise and I am working toward self sufficency and I could use some help. One thing I will mention is that the food is definitely not vegetarian or vegan, the animales here are not pets, they either have a job or are raised for food so you decide if here is a good fit for you.

Alejandro was a great Workaway. I enjoyed the two weeks he was here. He was very willing to help and he is interesting, intelligent and a pleasure to be around. The two weeks I spent with Lane and his animals at his farm were full of good times, great food cooked by him, amazing views and overall scenery and the animals that elevate the day. The work is fair and enriching and when not working there’s plenty of time to go for hikes or simply rest and enjoy time away from the city.

She doesn’t speak English and has limited Spanish so it was a little tricky to communicate with her but that really wasn’t much of an issue. I enjoyed having Cate stay a week here. She was put in charge of the gardens and diligently watered and weeded. Due to an unexpected abundance of bananas she helped make banana bread most of the days she was here, around 30 loaves. I found her to be smart, interesting and easy to get along with. I would highly recommend her.

It was a pleasure to have Joel and Dulce stay here. They were here during the coffee harvest so there was more work than normal but they did it without complaint. The excellent banana bread that Joel made was very appreciated. All in all they were excellent guests and I would highly recommend them.
