    Hi there!
We are a nonprofit summer and outdoor education camp in beautiful Michigan, United States. Our goal is to offer amazing experiences that participants can't find anywhere else, while teaching valuable life lessons that everyone can use everywhere they go. The campus offers a high ropes course, zipline, climbing walls, giant pendulum swing, lakefront activities including an inflatable trampoline and canoeing, and 101 acres of fields, forests and wetlands for explorations, games, camping, etc.
While continuing to emphasize the adventure activities that we can offer here, we are increasingly focusing on practical life skills like gardening, working with renewable resources, and cooking.
We are vegetarian and vegan friendly, and can provide food that is free of dairy, gluten, and other allergens. Don't worry, there will be plenty of meat and bread for those who want it!

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We host helpers from all over the United States and abroad, all in the small Michigan town of Reading, Michigan, with its own local culture. Travelers will have the opportunity to work, play, and talk with people from many different backgrounds, as well as learn about and enjoy the unique culture of rural Michigan, with lots of campfires, boating, burgers and BBQ, and picturesque landscapes.
If you're working on the English language, there will be lots of time to practice with native speakers from all over the country who come here to live and work. The program director here (that's me!) loves learning new languages and will take time to practice with you as a language exchange.

Because we are a large camp offering many different types of programs, there are many ways you can help!
During the summer, there volunteers can spend a lot of time with children, doing activities, art projects, exploring in nature, swimming, climbing, and more. During the fall, winter, and spring, there are groups with children at the camp, but there are some. All year, there are opportunities to help in areas of camp that don't involve children at all, like yard work, gardening, maintenance, DIY projects, cleaning, greeting renters and rental groups, and running activities for groups of people of all ages.

We offer paid staff positions for those who can legally work and be paid in the US.

There are no costs associated with volunteering here. Housing and meals are free, and someone will pick you up at the Detroit or Chicago airport for free (be sure to schedule with us in advance).

Depending on your age and role at the camp, there may be legal requirements that you will need to meet. These could include a background check, certificate of good legal standing from your home country, and positive references. We make sure that all of our staff and volunteers are in good legal standing and can safely be around children.

  • Algo más...

    Algo más...

Our campus is full of fun activities and great facilities, including a high ropes course, climbing wall, giant swing, waterfront, inflatable iceberg and trampoline, canoes, forests, camping and cabins, field games, etc... There is lots to enjoy without ever leaving campus!
Southern Michigan is home to forests, fields, lakes, rivers, farmland, etc, and is perfect for people who love nature. Just a couple of hours away is Lake Michigan, a freshwater lake so large it looks like an ocean, but as we say here in Michigan, is unsalted and shark-free! On weekends, trips to local attractions may be possible using transportation provided by the camp. Whitewater rafting in West Virginia as part of a special trip may be possible during the summer.
