I'm sorry we are no more hosting people in 2024! Thanks to all workawayers for your support so far!
Hello lovely people, we are Michaela (54) and Anja (32) from the south of Austria!
We are neighbors and friends with a common dream! Michaela lives on a farm with horses, dogs, cats and chickens! Anja is living in a shared house with dogs and chickens. Our common dream is to cultivate an organic vegetable field with the influence of permaculture and in the spirit of a natural cycle! Please notice that we are here searching for help at our vegetable field. You can choose were to stay and even switch between both places. (If you wanna help at Michaelas farm, she'll create a seperate profile for that. We will link it, as soon as it is online.)
Your working tasks can vary and depend on what needs to be done and what you would like to do. At the moment we wanna build a fence, and a house for the ducks. Then there are a lot of tasks around the vegetables of course, like planting, seeding, harvesting, making compost... You have the opportunity to support us and accompany us from the very beginning, learn from each other and grow together! You can learn many valuable gardening skills, as well as knowledge about working with horses and simple tools. We would like, that you work from 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week!
Tell us what you need to feel at home! It's very important for us, that you are having a good and meaningful time during your stay!
At Michaela's farm you have the opportunity to live in a room in the courtyard, in summer there are also wonderful options to sleep outside or come with a van!
The court is lively, festivals are celebrated, people cook together and learn from each other.
At Anja's house there is a yoga and music room and the possibility of living in a beautiful guest room. She is currently training to become a yoga teacher and you are welcome to do yoga and meditation with her. Please also bring your music with you. :).. In summer there is also the option of coming with a van and using the outdoor kitchen!
We love food and enjoy cooking for and with you, vegetarian and vegan meals!
Dogs for which responsibility is taken are very welcome!
Families and couples, or friends are welcome!

We live in the south of Austria, surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes, with many opportunities for leisure activities. Borders with Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Croatia are close.

Ihr habt ein total schönes Leben. Wir waren hier 1 Woche aber es ist wirklich schnell weggegangen. Wir haben viel gelernt über Natur und über verschiedene Gartenarbeit. Die Umgebung mit dem Burg war wunderschön und ganz ruhig. Danke für eure Gastfreundlichkeit und für die leckere vegan Speisen.
