Descripción
This is Willi, chairman of a small beekeepers' association and a beekeeper myself.
We run an association for organic beekeeping and fruit growing. We are activ in a small village, 8 km from Sibiu in the centre of Romania.
Our association organize beekeeping seminars, work shops, bee days for schools and different activity’s around beekeeping and fruit growing. Every year in march we organize a fruit tree grafting workshop.
Our place is the ancient parochial residence of the evangelic church including a priest house, church, school and surrounding gardens.
Beside of our public activity we cultivate fruits and vegetables for our own consumption. We have a greenhouse for tomato and cucumber. We keep bees, sheep’s and chicken and a dog and cats are with us at the place.
Our activity is based on the help of practician’s and volunteers during the hole year. -

We live in a multicultural region characterised true the culture and history of the Transylvanian Saxons which live in this region 800 years long. Now, Transylvania Saxons, Hungarians are minority’s beside gypsies and the Romanian main population.

I did different work almost everyday, so it never got boring. Willi explained everything and the work was mostly simple and interesting.
Willi’s home is beautiful and calm. Sibiu is close and there is a public transport available.
