French single parent family welcomes your help in Ambronay, France

  Hello !
  We are a french family, I am a single mom raising my 6 year old boy called Gabin on my own as my ex husband is now in a rest house after a heart breakdown, he can no longer walk and is lying in bed most of the time.
  
  I am hoping to find a British or Irish citizen preferably female, in order to help me out at home for the whole academic year starting sept 2023 to may or june 2024. I used to live in UK when I was young, I love Irish and British culture, I attend an english conversation group in order to keep up the level, I have a few english friends who live neaby ! I think I can help you out with improving your french and your art if needed. We enjoy cooking traditional french meals based on meat as well as pastries so we can cook together.
  
  I teach art, we love going out to visit current exhibitions. We live 50 km away from Lyon which is the second biggest french city of France, near the french Alps. We live in a nice wooden and stoned village house in the heart of a village called Ambronay, well known for its 14th century abbey and national baroque music festival. You reach the nearest town called Ambérieu within a 7 minute drive and you can also safely cycle there using the bike path. My two eldest children are now students, one is currently having a gap year in Dublin, they both will be away for several months, so I have two rooms available. We also have a small garden. You can easily access bus stations, small shops and the beautiful parc within a 3 min walk from the house and a ten minute car drive from the nearest train station to reach Lyon in 25 minutes. We have three cats. We have a piano but unfortunately, no one plays at home ! We have two bikes !
  
  Your help will imply on a 3 to 4 hour a day basis : taking my son to school some mornings and afternoons and back for lunch break, (not everyday as I work out of the house only 3 days a week) and watch him play outside with the neighbour's children aged the same age. You would have to take him by train to Lyon two saturdays a month to visit his dad, he stays on his own with his dad for a couple of hours. Some house keeping will be very welcome as well as some simple cooking. If you (and I !) are confident enough, we could try some driving so you can take Gabin to his swimming lessons and go to the bigger shops nearby. Every three months, I have to attend work meetings and parent's meetings on a few evenings basis. As you will not be helping out full time, some time can be allowed for job opportunities near by, so you can live with us and also have an income. (many families in our village are looking for babysitters as the students usually leave for the city, as well as help for house keeping.) My holidays match with the pupil's, based on a 6 or 7 weeks of work followed by a two weeks break (autumn, christmas, february, spring) so you can stay with us or fly back home on those periods if you wish. I usually spend a few days up in the Vercors in Villard de Lans, a mountaineous and snowy and/or very sunny area where my sister lives. I will be happy to show you around.
  
  Gabin is a great little chap, full of life, nosy and so talkative you will be fluent in no time ! He understands the everyday simple words of english. He loves ancient Egypt, Playmobils and the outdoors. I am quite a motherly person and a good listener so if you feel homesick, I have a VPN to watch somme BBC and my cheese cake isn't bad ! If you are patient, you love kids, you would like to improve your french and above all, you are a reliable person and would like to become part of the family, contact me !
