We are a vegan family of four with a menagerie of animals. We're always working our 6.5 acre organic flower farm and are looking to host an individual or couple in our home overlooking the stunning Kapiti Coast.

We have an incredible vista of the Kapiti Coast with easy access to the beach, the hills and trains to the Capital. We're vegans growing our flower farm with a permaculture mindset. We have a wide range of life experience with expertise in film making, animal training and of course, gardening.

Looking for an extra pair of hands to muck-in round our property. Help us keep on top of the place. Lots of gardening, tree planting, weeding & mulching. Some fencing, some building on occasion and assistance in and outside the home.

We're offering our private 4m glamping tent or space to park your own accomodation as well as shared family amenities: bathroom, shower, laundry, kitchen (vegans preferred please). Plant based eco products only please (shampoo, sunscreen, etc.) to keep our worms happy.

Waikanae is a small suburb on the Kapiti Coast North of Wellington. We're close to the train, beach and Tararua Forest Park. Great access to local hiking trails: Hemi Matenga, Kapakapanui, Waikanae river track & Mangone bush walk.

Melo stayed with us for a few weeks and was a great and methodical help around the gardens. Intelligent, curious and conversational she took great advantage of our local sites, hikes and walks and we enjoyed our dinner time conversation. We wish her all the best on the next adventure!

It was my first Workaway experience and it couldn't have been better.
Lynore and Greg made me feel like at home right away. I really enjoyed sharing their daily life, spending time with the kids and all the animals.
I also learn a lot about permaculture thanks to Lynore who really likes to share her knowledge.
I would definitely come back.

We unfortunately didn't have a great time with Marina and Jakob. They're a nice couple, intelligent and conversational. We felt they should change their profile to reflect honestly that Jakob is a smoker. Had that been the case we would not have hosted them and thus avoided any of the other issues.
