I, Valérie, am 61; I, Jean-Louis, am 73. We lived in Paris during 30 years and have settled in the south west of France now, 60 km from Toulouse, in a very small and quiet village. Our big house, with many dependencies and large green space is ideal for a person in search of quietness and natural environment. Valérie spends a lot of time drawing and painting, she practises many sports too. Jean-Louis (documentary filmmaker for TV and still in activity from time to time, shares his days between creative works ( mostly writing) and renewing the house. Several workaway hosts surround us and we often meet each other.
Moi Valérie, j'ai 61 ans, moi Jean-Louis, j'en ai 73. Nous avons vécu 30 ans à Paris et vivons maintenant dans le sud-ouest de la France, à 60 km de Toulouse dans un tout petit village très calme. Notre grande maison avec plusieurs dépendances et beaucoup d'espace vert est idéale pour accueillir une personne qui recherche le calme et un environnement naturel. Valérie passe beaucoup de temps à peindre ou dessiner, elle fait du sport aussi . Jean-Louis (réalisateur de documentaires TV encore en activité de temps en temps, organise ses journées entre travaux artistiques (principlement l'écriture) et rénovation de la maison. Autour de nous plusieurs amis reçoivent des workawayers et nous nous rencontrons souvent.

Valérie will share her love of painting. Jean-Louis, as a movie fan, documentary film maker and former film critic can share about anything that concerns image, sound and writing. He can as well talk about the latest movies as discuss great classicals of cinema history
Valérie pârtagera son amour de la peinture. Jean-Louis, passionné de cinéma, réalisateur de documentaires et ancien critique de films peut échanger sur tout ce qui concerne l'image, le son, et l'écriture aussi. Il parlera aussi bien du dernier film à l'affiche que des grands classiques de l'histoire du cinéma.

Ayuda
Valérie would be happy to share part of her days with an easy to live person who goes shopping with her now and then, and who helps her with the house. Jean-Louis, on his side, would enjoy a little help in his house renewal : paint, plaster, wood... (nothing heavy, don't worry, just a hand from time to time).
Valérie serait heureuse de partager sa journée avec une personne sans complication qui l'accompagne de temps à autre pour faire les courses et qui aide un peu dans l'entretien de la maison. Jean-Louis, pour sa part serait ravi d'un soutien dans le cadre de travaux de rénovation: peinture, plâtre, bois etc... (il ne s'agit pas là de gros travaux, juste d'une assistance de temps en temps).

Alojamiento
Separate bedroom with matrimonial bed and private bathroom. Telephone and wifi connexion. 3 meals a day: breakfast (around 8), lunch (around 12h30), dinner (around 19h30) around the common table.
Chambre avec grand lit, bureau et salle de bains particulière. Téléphone, et connexion wifi. 3 repas par jour: petit déjeuner vers 8h, déjeuner vers 12h30 et dîner vers 19h30 autour de la table commune.

There are many historical and patrimonial places all around, each proposing museums and architectural treasures (Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne, Narbonne are within 2h drive). Please note to finish, to avoid any possible deception, that our village is very small, and there's no shop of any kind at all. If driving license owned, we can lend a car for short drives.
La région offre de nombreuses richesses historiques et patrimoniales avec musées et sites architecturaux (Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne, Narbonne sont à moins de 2h de voiture). A noter, pour éviter toute déception, que le village est vraiment petit et qu'il n'y a aucun commerce. Nous pouvons prêter une voiture pour de courtes distances.
