I, 34, live with my boyfriend, 45, our 3yo son, our 2 dogs and our cat in the countryside, 2km from a tiny village by the sea, where I run a little guesthouse business. We have a lot of trees to water, fertilize and prune, and a tiny vegetable garden, but plenty of land. At the moment we could have some support mostly with cutting branches, cleaning and painting some walls, building wooden boxes for the vegetable garden, fertilizing trees, pruning trees, sanding and painting furniture, playing with the dogs,...

We have a big pile of tree and bush cuttings from which I want to take as much good wood as possible for the fireplace next winter. The means we need help sorting branches and cutting them with scissors/manual saw into smaller sticks.

Alojamiento
Volunteers have a little house for them alone, 300m from our place, so its better if you come in 2 or enjoy spending some time by yourself. At the moment the best deal for us is 3hours work, 5 days/week, with no meals, or 4 hours work 5 days/week and we provide food for one daily meal.

The village is accessible by bus.
Best way to enjoy spare time here is just reading a book, relax on the beach, getting creative, visit local historical sites, go for long walks, surfing/body boarding/SUP, renting a kayak, biking, snorkeling, etc

Anne and her friend showed up, were kind and stayed overnight but they changed their mind and the next day decided not to stay. A bit of a bummer but I appreciated the directness and honesty.

We stayed for a week at Ritas and helped out in the garden (in company of a very active puppy) and moving around furniture. They have a busy household and Rita has a lot of ideas what can be done around the house, which can make it a bit chaotic sometimes 😃. Rita and her family are very lovely people and made us feel welcome and at home.

Teresa and Rafi were very helpful and kind. They helped me carry furniture around, cleaning, hanging clothes, sowing beans and peas while dealing with a furious puppy, cooking, etc. They also built a nice box made of wood to plant veggies in : ))

Marina and Saron are two nice, relaxed, hands-on girls who helped us with various works in the house and in the garden. They were always ready to help with whatever was needed and did it carefully. Lou is a driven worker and shy but kind company! She helped me and another volunteer to clean, white wash and organize an old storage room. She was great at sanding some old iron beds, painting and other smaller tasks as unmounting furniture, carrying heavy stuff around and dog sitting. She also learned how to prepare calc paint.

Darwin was great help. She worked with me and another volunteer at cleaning, white-washing and organizing an old storage room. Apart from that she also did a great job at sanding some old iron beds, some gardening and cooking. She's a jolly girl always ready to help!
