    Namaste everyone,

We are a family of nine members. My parents, 2 brothers, my sister-in-law, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and me who maintain this profile. We are a happy family. My eldest brother and my parents are at home these days while the others are away for education. They do visit occasionally for festivals, gatherings, and vacations. My eldest brother is a teacher. My father retired recently. He was also a teacher in a government school. My mother is a housewife.

They are very friendly, respectful, helpful, and loyal persons. My parents are in their 60s. However, they take care of all the farm fields and households. They are quite active. We grow seasonal crops such as paddy, wheat, maize, mustard, potatoes, and almost all kind of sub-tropical vegetables. We have a big backyard where you can find chillies, onions, coriander, and more for daily needs. There are some fruits trees of which some can only be found in these regions. Fruits like mango, papaya, guava, Jamun, Pomegranate, Badahad, etc. We have pigeons and some goats. Do you like pets?

We live in a village of around 3000 inhabitants. It is approximately 160 km south of the capital city, Kathmandu. Our village is diverse and well known in the area. Everybody knows each other in the village. You will have one of the best experiences in your life. From natural beauty to village life in one of the nicest countries in South Asia. Unique culture, bull cart, tonga ride, and many more. Nepal celebrates many traditional festivals throughout the year. From Dashain, the greatest festival to Tihar, Shivaratri, and the list goes on. Nepal is one of the countries with national holidays for more than a month. Our village also organizes a yearly fest, where some artists are invited. Kalaiya is a regional district headquarter, which can be reached in 30 mins on a motorbike. There is also a bus operating to the capital on daily basis. To get to Kalaiya, one can take tonga (pulled by a horse) or a motorbike or minibus from a nearby village.

Gadhimai, a famous religious temple is located in the region.

I also use the work away as a traveller and had some wonderful experiences. So I thought of creating one for my family where they get to meet people like their son from different corners of the globe. This gives them an opportunity to share a culture, language, and lifestyle just as I am doing abroad. You can contact me at () if you have any sorts of questions.

My youngest brother speaks English fluently, while the rest of my family speak Nepali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, and a few words of English. I hope it would not be a problem for travellers to communicate as you can also use apps like google translate. I had to use this during my first visit to Italy. But it worked well. If you can speak a few words of Nepalese then great, otherwise you will learn some during your visit.

Nevertheless, I am always there to help you to make your stay amazing and comfortable.

As I mentioned above, you will have one of your greatest cultural shocks. From the moment you arrive, you are no longer a stranger. You will be treated as a part of the family. You have a chance to learn a different language and experience a faraway lifestyle. We live in a semi-mud and concrete two-storied house. We are not well equipped with modern furniture. So you will have to use some ancient tools. You will see houses made of mud and wood. If you like you can have fresh milk and yogurt from the buffalos and cows. You would learn to grow paddy, wheat, potatoes, and harvest them. You would grow your friendship. Your eyes would be pleased with the greenery you have never seen before.

We mainly need seasonal help in our fields. For example, to be present in the fields during harvesting season. You may have to assist them if needed. You have to transport food (for the farmworkers) from home to the field, which can be done on foot. To graze our pets sometimes. At the moment, we have goats.
You also need to help my parents to prepare the food at home. If you like spicy foods then you are going to love them. And some other help around the house from time to time. You will be staying as a family member.

    Alojamiento

You will be staying in a small house attached or when occupied you will have a room in the same house with everybody. It does not have modern furniture but a bed with bedsheets plus is provided. Toilet and bathroom are available, which will be shared by the family. We have a hand pump for drinking water. May it would be your first time using it?

We cook mostly vegetarian foods. We grow them in our backyard. Fish and meats are available sometimes. We own a small pond for fish production. You will be eating with us. If you like to cook your traditional foods then would be great.
We do have internet but you can also buy a data package, which is cheaper. Or if you have some portable one then please do carry.

It is a bit remote region so the lifestyle would be not as expected. No nightlife or any sort of luxury things. We cannot provide modern facilities. But yes it would be full of adventure and fun. Once in a lifetime experience.
