Descripción
I, Mathias Britos, and three employees run this ecological farm near Montevideo. In the past, I shared this business with my father, the founder of this place. He is no longer with us. At that time, I lived here with my wife and three children, my father, and Alberto, our faithful lifelong helper, who also passed away last year.
Now the situation is different: my family is abroad, the children are grown up and studying, and I spend most of the year here alone. The farm continues to operate, and we carry on our work producing vegetables, fruit, eggs, and bread, which we sell at the organic market in Montevideo and in some specialized shops.
I am looking for people who are willing to help in the field, learn how to cultivate the land, work in the gardens, and help with maintenance. We have hosted over 200 volunteers in the past 10 years, and my experience with them has always been very positive.

On our farm there is a great variety of tasks to be done, depending also on your skills, preferences and strengths. Examples are sowing, ploughing, harvesting and preserving vegetables and fruits, cooking, painting tasks around the house and looking after the children.

I had a wonderful time on the chacra, which was a little paradise for me. It is a very beautiful area with a big variety of fruits and vegetables. I enjoyed a lot the work on the fields, with the friendly animals around me and learned a lot about organic agriculture.

I spend a very good time at their beautiful place, i was there for two weeks, i felt free to organise my days as I wanted, and the task was easy. All the family is nice and respectful, and if you want to learn spanish, the children are good teachers ;-) gracias
