Hello,
I live with a cat in a house In a small village in north-karelia, east Finland.
The house is disconnected from the grid so no running water, electricity. A dry toilet and generator to charge devices.
I strive to live as clean as possible, minimal waste and consuming.
There is two small greenhouses where I grow some herbs and on a nearby field vegetables.
I cook mainly vegan food, twice a day. Volunteers have a room or a apartment to stay in. There is space for camper vans or tent, option in the summer.
I hope to find help with gardening, foraging berries and mushrooms during summer months. woodwork all year around, firewood, cutting, chopping. Sometimes help in the kitchen with cooking and processing herbs and vegetables.
At evenings or weekends there is possibility to swim, canoe, fish, yoga, eft, meditation, ski or ice-skate in the winter.
Usually there is several ongoing projects, depending on the time of the year it is possible to learn for example, how to build domes, saunas.

Task was mainly wood chopping for firewood. I also did some tin soldering to fix some headlamps. Work can be hard, and weather can be cold but I felt close to nature and living a meaningful experience.

Because of the global situation we hadn’t much work to do so we spent lots of time together talking, sharing and we visited many places and friends of him who were all very welcoming to us. Every day was unique here!
