… read more time mainly cleaning the beautiful and historical rooms and I was into it because Christina looks happy what I have done. It made me happy too. They have wonderful personalities that I really admire and so beautiful values: they always smile and treat you with the highest respect, and they are extremely attentive all the time so that we would have the best experience ever. Fredrick is also a great person with a warm heart and a great sense of humour. It's one of those persons you always feel comfortable with and you can be sure you are always going to have a great time with him. We would also like to thank Urban for his amazing help from the very first moment, we felt really welcomed with him and his beautiful wife. Thanks for so many beautiful gestures with us!
And Kicki is just one of the most nicest person you can ever meet. She is attentive for everything, always making sure everything was great. She would all the time help us and she had so many beautiful gestures with us all the time. I feel I will never be able to thank her enough for opening the doors of her house and her heart as she did from the very first moment, I will truly miss you. And of course we won't forget any of the beautiful dogs, they are so kind and nice that it's really impossible not to fall in love with them. I will miss you, Tabita, Vesla, Simpson and Woolitz.
The place is the most beautiful paradise you can imagine. It is a cottage in the middle of a forest in Sweden surrounded by lakes you can swim in, amazing paths surrounded by huge trees... It is impossible to understand the beauty of the place until you sit down in the table outside the house with a warm coffee looking to an endless green landscape. If you love nature, you can't miss this place please. I won't forget the sunsets I saw, the feeling of swimming in a lake where there was no one or the sense of being alive when walking in some of the paths. I would also say that I believe it's better if you could come with somebody, so you can share everything with that person.
Of course you can also go easily to Mariefred (the closest town), which being honest is the most beautiful town I have ever been in. Sunsets in the lake there are just unforgettable. Besides, if you also want some city life, you have the chance to visit Stockholm in just one hour from the cottage. It is just an amazing city that's worth some visits.
So you have the most beautiful nature and if you feel like you want some city life, you have the chance to see Mariefred or the beautiful city of Stockholm (Gamla Stan is just breathtaking) in just one hour from the cottage. It can't be better.
The work was easy, they asked us to help walking the dogs, watering the plants, taking some weed out or painting. If I'm honest, it's the best work you can do because it was so nice and easy. I really enjoyed walking the dogs in the morning in nature and the sense of peacefulness while watering the plants.
I won't forget my days there, the feeling of happiness when seeing the place for the very first time and the great adventure I had the chance to live every single day with a family that could not be better to me. As I said, I feel that I won't ever thank you enough for giving to me the chance to live a dream that I was not even able to imagine. I won't ever forget you! Cassie and Alex stayed with us for one week in February and we had a very good time. Booth are so easy, nice and willing to help. So nice and polite and alway positive and happy. We are missing you a lot and wish you all good luck.

We stayed with Fredrik and Christina (Kiki) for a week during February 2023. We assisted with walking the dogs, as well as painting Kiki and Fredrik's bedroom floor - we can now call ourselves painters as I believe we did a really good job! You will stay in your own little house about 30 meters from the main house and will be invited up to the main house for lunch and dinner with whoever is home at the time. Unfortunately we had a lot of snow so we were unable to do a lot of exploring and the family were quite busy so we had to keep ourselves occupied.
Mariefred is a cute town close by which is accessible by bus which is located right outside the house.
If you are looking for a private workaway, where you have your own space but spend time with the family for meals, then this is the perfect place, especially if you love dogs as all four of them are amazing! :)Comentarios

It was my first workaway experience and i was lucky to Find Christina and Federik as a host and i am honored to had the opportunity to be their guest ...Christina is a very human person , has a big heart and is very responsibile and carefull person.

… read more Christina was travelling outside the country for work in that period and Federik was also busy in the work ) but she always made sure that i was not missing anything . especially when i got sick , eventhough she was outside the country and was busy , she managed to book the Doctor appointments for me and organised and provided me with medicine, food and anything i needed ..and would always ask me if i needed anything, they would let me use their car whenever i needed to go to Mariefred.
About the work unfortunately at the end most of the time it was them taking care of me ( because of my sickness) ..more then i was contribuiting or could have given back with my work . but they always made me feel comfortable about the situation .
The work was flexible and variant and was very easy and fun work to do , it was usually contained about dog walking, giving water to the horses and sometime cleaning etc .. Christina always made sure that one feel comfortable with the work and is always appreciative about the work ,
it would be great to come as a couple or two friends together as it is mostly independent work.
The location and property is so beautifull and the house is big and fully equipped with all the modren accessories . i would love and hope to come back soon.. Thank's alot for everything and see you soon 🙏 😊🍀🌸

… read more freetime, we were able to go swimming in their lake, enjoy the two villages nearby as well as the great train connection to Stockholm and we were even able to see some wild moose, wild boar and dears on the fields nearby.
