  We are an NGO with 14 years of experience dedicated to educating and raising awareness about sustainability and environmental education issues throughout Mexico with mobile programs. After this, we looked for a place where people could find us and connect with our project. A space where they could access all this knowledge and visit whenever they wanted. A place open to everyone, from children to adults. Thanks to the support of generous sponsors, we were able to make it happen.
  
  Now we are a sustainability training center that welcomes visitors of all ages, from children to adults, to learn about permaculture, eco-techniques, and sustainable practices. We offer workshops and talks on solar energy, bioconstruction, our butterfly house, and our biofactory, where we produce compost, biofilters, and organic fertilizers etc.
  
  Currently, we are in a transition phase and looking for experienced volunteers to manage crops, maintain the bio-pool, harvest crops once a week, care for eco-techniques, help mantain the facilities while we secure new sponsors.

  Es una ONG con 14 años de trayectoria dedicada a educar y concientizar sobre sustentabilidad y temas de educación ambiental en todo Mexico con programas moviles. Después de esto, buscamos un lugar donde la gente pudiera encontrarnos y conectar con nuestro proyecto. Un espacio donde pudieran acceder a todo este conocimiento y visitarnos cuando quisieran. Un lugar abierto para todos, desde niños hasta adultos. Gracias al apoyo de patrocinadores, pudimos hacerlo realidad.
  Somos un centro de capacitación en sustentabilidad que recibe visitantes de todas las edades, desde niños hasta adultos, para aprender sobre permacultura, ecotecnias y prácticas sustentables. Ofrecemos cursos y charlas sobre energía solar, bioconstrucción, el mariposario y nuestra biofábrica, donde producimos composta, biofiltros y fertilizantes orgánicos.
  
  Actualmente, estamos en una fase de transición y buscamos voluntarios con experiencia para manejar cultivos, mantener la biopiscina, cuidar las ecotecnias, cultivar y cosechar todos nuestros productos organicos una vez a la semana, mientras conseguimos nuevos patrocinadores. Despues de esto buscaremos nuevos interantes para el equipo, si te gusta el trabajo y tienes las capacidades para llevarlo a cabo, buscaremos nuevos integrantes los cuales tendran una remuneracion economica por hacer lo que les gusta, o sea un sueldo. :) Esto no esta asegurado para todos,hay muchos factores de los que dependemos pero es una oportunidad en un futuro.

  Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje

  The volunteer will learn about permaculture and environmental education, we will teach different solutions to current environmental problems through practices that may include bioconstruction, eco-techniques such as solar ovens, solar stoves, water filters, etc. You will also learn about biodiversity with our butterfly garden, make different types of compost and use of waste, aquaponics, garden, edible forest, etc. We offer accommodation and food that a part can come from our gardens and aquaponics and will provide financing to buy what is necessary to cook food that you can buy in the region, in addition to having the opportunity to know and explore the beautiful Ribera de Chapala in your free time where you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake, hiking, discover the different boardwalks and visit the picturesque towns where you will find many friendly people.
  
  El voluntario aprenderá sobre permacultura y educación ambiental, enseñaremos diferentes soluciones a los problemas ambientales actuales por medio de prácticas en las que pueden ser bioconstruccion, ecotecnias como hornos solares, estufas solares, filtros de agua etc. también se aprenderá sobre biodiversidad con nuestro mariposario, realizar diferentes tipos de composta y aprovechamiento de residuos, acuaponia, huerto, bosque comestible etc. Ofrecemos alojamiento y alimentacion que una parte puede venir de nuestros huertos y acuaponia y de proveerá financiamiento para comprar lo necesario para cocinar alimentos que pueden comprar en la región, además de tener la oportunidad de conocer y explorar la hermosa Ribera de Chapala en sus tiempos libres en donde puedes disfrutas de hermosas vistas del lago, hiking, conocer los diferentes malecones y conocer los pintorescos pueblitos en los que encontraras mucha gente amistosa.

  Alojamiento

  The accommodation is mostly outdoors, the sleeping space is individual cubicles that are on top of the sustainable kitchen with pillow and sleeping bag. The bathroom is a dry bathroom. open concept kitchen. lots of nature and beautiful sunsets.
  
  Financing will be provided to buy livestock in the region as well as they will be able to consume what we grow in our facility.
  
  El alojamiento es mayormente al aire libre, el espacio para dormir son cubículos individuales que están en la parte superior de la cocina sustentable con almohada y sleepingbag. El baño es baño seco. La cocina es concepto abierto con horno solar, horno de lena y tenemos una peque;a estufa con gas que tratamos de utilizar lo menos posible, cafetera, refrigerador, mucha naturaleza y bellos atardeceres.

  Urban transportation is between $20 and $12 Mexican pesos, there is a cycle path that runs the entire road from Jocotepec to Chapala in case you bring your bicycle, to buy groceries in the center of Jocotepec you can find everything. There are several places with cheap food. You will be able to see the 5 boardwalks that are in the Ribera de Chapala where you can appreciate the lake and the variety of birds that roam around the place, there are also several flea markets in the different municipalities where you can find a wide variety of products.   El transporte urbano esta entre $20 y $12 pesos mexicanos, hay una ciclovia que recorre toda la carretera desde Jocotepec hasta Chapala en caso de que traigas tu bicicleta, para comprar víveres en el centro de Jocotepec encuentras todo. Hay varios lugares con comida económica. Podrás conocer los 5 malecones que están en la Ribera de Chapala en donde puedes apreciar el lago y la variedad de aves que rondan por el lugar, también hay varios tianguis en los diferentes municipios en donde puedes encontrar gran variedad de productos. Hay muchas rutas de senderismo por los cerros.
