Hello, we are Christian and Ana, a Swiss-Ecuadorian family and we live in Salango, Ecuador.
Our house is on a hill in front of Isla Salango, it is a large property with 8.66 hectares where before, a hotel that used to be operated with cabins, restaurant, multiple building, workshop, green areas, etc ... and now It works with online rentals, ideal for people who like nature, live outside the city in front of the sea listening to the sound of the waves and at the same time helping us in the maintenance of our property because there is a lot to do.
Hola, somos Christian y Ana, una familia suizo-ecuatoriana y vivimos en Salango, Ecuador.
Nuestra casa es en una loma frente a la Isla Salango, es una propiedad grande con 8.66 hectareas donde antes, funcionaba un hotel antes con cabanas, restaurante ,edificio multiple, taller, areas verdes ,etc....y ahora funciona como alquiler online, ideal para personas que les gusta la naturaleza, vivir fuera de la ciudad frente al mar escuchando el sonido de las olas y a la vez ayudadonos en el mantenimiento de nuestra propiedad porque hay bastante por hacer.
Hallo, wir sind Christian und Ana, ein Schweizer-Ecuadorianisches Ehepaar und wir leben gemeinsam in Salango, Ecuador.
Unser Grundstück und zu Hause befindet sich auf einem Hügel, von wo aus man direkt auf die Insel Salango blickt. Das Gelände ist insgesamt 8.66 Hektar gross mit Bungalows und einem Platz für Camper, die wir online überwiegend online vermieten. Die Gegend ist perfekt für Volunteers, die es etwas ruhiger mögen ausserhalb der Stadt, gerne in der Natur sind, das Meeresrauschen geniessen und uns auf dem Gelände helfen möchten – denn hier gibt es immer viel zu tun.

In the area there is much to do and learn, it is an ideal place for lovers of the sea, we have direct access to the beach of Salango. There you can surf, snorkel, free diving, island tours (e.g. Isla de La Plata), fishing, cycling, kayaking, yoga, etc.
Because we are close to the Machalilla National Park, we have areas of conservation of marine species around, the ancestral community of Agua Blanca, the beach of Los Frailes and in the Town of Salango the Archaeological Museum an InSitu museum, you can learn about the Machalilla culture a of the most important pre-Hispanic cultures of the coastal region that inhabited this area for 800 years.
Por la zona hay mucho por hacer y aprender, es un lugar ideal para los amantes del mar, tenemos acceso directo a la playa de salango. Pueden surfear, hacer snorkel, free diving, tours a la isla, pesca, ciclismo, kayak, yoga, etc.
Por encontrarnos cerca del parque Nacional Machalilla tenemos a nuestro alrededor areas de conservacion de especies marinas, la comunidad ancestral de Agua Blanca, la playa de los Frailes y en el Pueblo de Salango el Museo Arqueologico un museo InSitu ,pueden conocer sobre la cultura Machalilla una de las culturas prehispanicas mas importantes de la region litoral que habito en esta zona durante 800 anos.
In der Region gibt es viel zu sehen, zu lernen und zu unternehmen. Wer das Meer liebt ist hier genau richtig. Der direkte Zugang zum Strand lädt zu langen Spaziergängen am Strand oder auch zu Wassersport-Aktivitäten ein: In deiner Freizeit kannst du surfen, schnorcheln, tauchen, Ausflüge zu Inseln machen, Fahrrad fahren oder Kayak-Touren unternehmen oder Yoga machen.
Der Machalilla National Park und der wunderschöne Strand Los Frailes sind nicht weit entfernt und mit etwas Glück kannst du hier vielen verschiedenen (Meeres-)Tierarten begegnen. Kulturell hat die Region auch einiges zu bieten: im Machalilla Nationalpark kannst du die Agua Blanca Gemeinde besuchen oder in Salango das Archäologie und das InSitu Museum, in dem du mehr über die Machalilla Kultur lernen kannst – eine der wichtigsten vorspanischen Kulturen der Küstenregion Ecuadors, die hier für mehr als 800 Jahren gelebt hat.

Depending on your skills and things that are important to you, we would like you to help us with the maintenance of the cabins, help with hospitality/tourism, gardening, brickwork, carpentry, electricity, mechanics and painting.

Je nachdem, was dir liegt, freuen wir uns über deine Hilfe in verschiedenen Bereichen: Instandhaltung/Pflege der Bungalows, Hotellerie und Unterstützung bei der Vermietung der Bungalows, Gartenarbeit oder auch handwerkliche Tätigkeiten wie: Mauerarbeit, Tischlerarbeit, Hilfe mit Elektronik, Maschinen und Fahrzeugen sowie Malerarbeiten.

We speak Spanish, English and German and are happy about every language and personal exchange with our volunteers. Wir sprechen spanisch, englisch und deutsch und wir würden uns sehr über Sprach- und persönlichen Austausch mit unseren Volunteers freuen.
Alojamiento
Our volunteers will live in an independent house with water, electricity, internet, kitchen and bathroom. It has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 4 people.
Those who have a caravan or motor home are welcome to live in the camping area that has an area with a barbecue for cooking, a shower and an external bathroom.
An income of 10 dollars a week will be provided for food in exchange for 5 hours of work, 5 days a week.
Los voluntarios viviran en una casa independiente con agua, luz, internet, cocina y bano. tiene 2 habitaciones y pueden acomodarse hasta 4 personas.
Los que tienen caravana o motor home pueden vivir en la zona de camping que tiene area con parilla para cocinar, ducha y bano externo.
Se proveera un ingreso de10 dolares semanales para alimentos a cambio de 5 horas de trabajo, 5 dias a la semana.
Unsere Freiwilligen wohnen in ihrer eigenen Unterkunft, mit Strom- und Wasseranschluss, Internet, eigener Küche und eigenem Bad. In der Unterkunft gibt es zwei Zimmer in denen insgesamt 4 Freiwillige unterkommen können. Wenn du in deinem eigenen Fahrzeug/Campervan lebst, dann finden wir auch gerne einen Platz für dich auf unserem kleinen Camping-Platz, bei dem es einen BBQ-Grill, eine Dusche sowie ein Bad-Häuschen gibt.
Die Arbeitszeit beträgt 5 Stunden pro Tag (5 Tage pro Woche) und jeder Freiwillige bekommt eine Essenspauschale von $ 10 pro Woche.

The property is on a hill, the main road (Ruta del Espondilus) is 15 minutes walk or there is another exit along the beach, also about 15 minutes walk to the town of Salango
If you need to make purchases you can do it in Puerto Lopez, taxis charge around 4-5 dollars and if not, you can take advantage of us at some point. but there are also shops and restaurants in the town of Salango.
In your free time you can do all kinds of water sports, Los Frailes beach, hiking, fishing, etc.
La propiedad queda en una loma, la carretera principal (Ruta del Espondilus) esta a 15 minutos caminando o hay otra salida por la playa, tambien a unos 15 minutos caminando al Pueblo de Salango
Si necesitan hacer compras pueden hacerlo en Puerto Lopez los taxis cobran alrededor de 4-5 dolares y sino pueden aprovechar en algun momento que vayamos nosotros. pero tambien existen tiendas y restaurantes en el Pueblo de Salango.
En tu tiempo libre puedes hacer todo tipo de deportes acuaticos, playa Los Frailes, senderismo, pesca, etc.
Unser Grundstück befindet sich auf einem Hügel (beim Mirador Salango). Von der Hauptstrasse (Ruta del Espondilus) aus sind es ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuss hier hoch. Von hier aus gibt es aber auch noch einen weiteren Weg entlang des Strandes (den wir dir dann gerne zeigen können), um zu Fuss (in ca. 15 Minuten) nach Salango zu gelangen. Zum Einkaufen bietet sich Puerto Lopez an, da es dort mehrere Supermärkte gibt. Mit dem Taxi gelangt man für ca. $ 4-5 dorthin. Wir fahren jedoch auch ab und zu nach Puerto Lopez und können dich gerne mitnehmen, wenn es passt. In Salango gibt es ausserdem auch kleine Shops und Restaurants, sodass du kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten auch zu Fuss erreichen kannst.
In deiner Freizeit gibt es eine Vielzahl von Aktivitäten, die du hier in der Gegend unternehmen kannst: Von Wassersport über wandern und fischen bis hin zu Ausflügen zu schönen Stränden (z.B. Los Frailes) ist so ziemlich alles dabei.

Hay internet de 2 megas. No tiene mucha velocidad dependiendo el dia. Procuraremos mejorarlo en algun momento. There is only 2G-3G service up here and the speed is varying from day to day. We are fixing and trying to improve it as soon as possible. Es gibt hier 2G-3G Internet Empfang, leider ist das Internet nicht sehr schnell und variiert auch ein bisschen von Tag zu Tag. Wir werden aber schnellstmöglich Verbesserungen vornehmen.
Espacio para aparcar autocaravanas
Hay mucho espacio en la zona de camping con parrilla para cocinar, ducha y bano externos para caravanas o furgoneta. We have a big camping-area where there is a lot of space for campervans. Additionally there is also a BBQ, a shower and a bathroom, which can all be used for free. Wir haben einen grossen Bereich auf dem Gelände, auf dem es ausreichend Platz für Campingfahrzeuge gibt. Der Camping-Bereich ist mit einem BBG-Grill, einer Dusche und einem Bad-Häuschen ausgestattet, was alles kostenfrei genutzt werden kann.
