We bought this property with four friends in the late autumn of 2022.

The property has 4 houses/ruins in different stages of rebuiling and a beautiful garden of around one hectare. We look out over some hills that are divided by thousands of little plots that no one uses anymore, so we have a nice calm forest to get lost in, as only animals and a cowfarmer use it from time to time.

Our little village exists of us four, and six more neighbours. We are of Dutch, German, Italian, Mexican and Spanish nationality. The neighbours that were already living here became great friends and are fun, open minded, young people as well. We are not literally a community in the ecovillage way, but we help eachother out and love to share fun times.

The last 10 months that we’ve been here we spend on starting to make the terrain our home. We digged, planted, placed a mobile workshop, made a camper for one of our couples, made the liveable house more cosy and homey.

We are still in the starting phase but holy cow, how it has changed already! We are so eager to welcome you so more people can be part of this journey. We are excited for your creativity, ideas and input.

    About us:

Tinka (24) and Jim (34) are rebuilding a 400 year old little house and are starting this year. They are living in a campervan on the terrain. They love community living, permaculture, living off the land, gardening, being creative, making music and the occusional party.

Niklas (34) is living in a caravan as well, and uses the livingroom and the kitchen of the big house. He loves making music, reading, meditating and gardening in a playful way.

Our friend Bastiaan (33) has bought land next to ours and is also here a couple months a year. He is starting a foodforest/tree-nursery and is the warmest nature nerd you will ever meet.

The big house is not really a big house, but a cosy one, that is now our communal space. The last owners did a wonderfull job at rebuilding already quite a lot!

We are all fourtwenty friendly here. And also, good to mention, friendly and welcoming to all sorts of people. Whatever your name, background, sexual orientation, kinks or interests are, the weirder society thinks you are the better ;) This is obviously a joke, but feel free, we do not judge anyone. We will do the same.

Please note that our life here is still very DIY. Don´t expect any kind of luxury and you´re good;) We do not have a normal fridge, we do have a warm shower, but the water pressure is not always to write home about. We are thriving because we live in the most beautiful place, together, and we make it better everyday. If you're used to camping life, hitchiking, or off the grid living, you'll know what we mean.

We live in the region of Asturias, which is a really green and hilly area. It is super fertile and for us it is its own perfect little ecosystem. It is not freaking hot in the summer (only 22-33 degrees regularly) and mild in the winter. It stays summer-ish until the end of november usually. You can grow kiwi's, lemons, kaki's and avocado's here easily. It rains a lot more than in the rest of Spain, so it is green everywhere you look, I sometimes call it 'The Shire' here.

We have campfires, play games, make music and drink beers often. We go to the local square in the next village almost every friday night and meet whoever of our friends is there. This village is 15 minutes walking and often there are local festivals such as the cider festival (local product of asturias). There is also a monthly occuring market there, which is organised mostly by the young alternative people from the area. There are a lot! Even though we feel like we live in the middle of nowhere.

I (Tinka) would love to do more late night walks and bird spotting as well if anyone knows more about this. I can share my love for cooking, and I love to have more shared meals in our village. I love cooking with local ingredients, and the tastes of nature. I also would love to make music together, I play the ukelele and sing, but aspire to learn how to play the banjo and singing saw.

We hope to learn from whatever you bring. We love it always to learn more about nature especially.

We are still in the starting phase but holy cow, how it has changed already! We are so eager to welcome you so more people can be part of this journey. We are excited for your creativity, ideas and input.

We are a place that wants to inspire people about nature and community living, we want to have a beautiful running homestead one day and have a thriving food forest. Maybe one day we’ll sell some veggies at the market or give some workshops but we are not a business.

We all have our talents and hobbies, and they are amongst others; permaculture, foodforests, syntropical agriculture, philosophy, natural building, natural crafts, felting, cooking with nature, sewing, folk music, psychedelics, land art, tattooing, fermenting, cooking, woodworking, spoonmaking, meditation, parties and hikes. We would love for you to bring your talents and ideas and enthousiasm.

We have a never ending list of things to do here, for example clean out our swimming spot in the river and make it nicer to chill there (we can work on this together, swim and drink beers in between ;), we are working on the walls of one of our ruins in september and october, and the garden always needs a lot of work. We could use a better communal outside kitchen, toilet and shower, mostly for guests and workawayer, so this is also on the list. But what you can do here depends mostly on... you! What do you wanna learn, get better at, or where do your interests lay? Do you have another idea that would be perfect here?

We want you to feel at home. If you get here and you come from hectic travelling or city life, just take some days to feel what your body needs. Explore the area, sleep a lot if you need it, get to know us.

    Alojamiento

We have a beautiful belltent with a two persons bed, with a stunning view.

We have a small two persons private bedroom in the main house with a shared livingroom, kitchen and balcony.

We have 2 caravans in and out of use by our own friends and family, so this will sometimes be an option as well.

Ofcourse you are always free to bring your own van, tent or hammock if you want, we have a lovely little laurelforest with lots of shade.

For around 3-4 hours a day we provide 1 meal together cooked by us, it could be lunch or dinner and you can always use ingredients from the communal kitchen for making another meal together or alone. For breakfast we ask you to buy your own supplies and also for alcohol, snacks and everything else you like. Or we will buy more but will ask a (small) contribution to the donation jar.

    Algo más...

We live in a really nice area with lots of parties, nice people, local festivals and such. Some are at walking distance (15 minutes through the fields) but others max 20 minutes driving. We have some bikes you can lend, for close trips as well, although it is quite hilly in the area.
There are loads of nice hiking trails, waterfalls and beaches around as well. We have one beautiful swimming spot in walking distance. Also the neighbour has a big free clothes shop, and organises jam sessions.

We have a ping pong table and fire staffs, fire candles to play with (without fire firstly)

We do not have a lot a lot of space, it depends a bit on how many guests we already have, but there is also a abandoned ruin in our street, which has parking space our friends with vans have been using for the past year. You will have to walk 4 minutes to our property.

We have some pets ourself, and we love animals. A lot of friends already brought dogs and even cats travelling with people. The only condition is that they are social to other animals and dont hurt humans. Just message us if you want to bring your companion and let's see how it goes. The dogs here are usually very chill.
